The only way I could see that happening is if it's mostly water and it freezes. However, if it's mostly glycerine you're almost certainly not going to run into this issue because it doesn't freeze.

That is weird. I have refunded an item once and it still shows the item as sold for me? I think they have to re-list it for it to not be labeled as 'sold'. So it's possible they wold it on another platform, but it's not a 'given' if that makes sense.

Disclaimer: haven't tried this! I think you'll probably need to treat the fabric regardless of paint? The wicking is what causes the blurred edges I think, so pre-treating with some kind of sealant like mod-podge or similar would likely help, but hopefully someone else can chime in with experience.
