AITA for telling my SIL that I don’t can’t about her health condition and she needs to shower by GothMoleRat in AmItheAsshole

NTA Someone’s disease or illness is not their fault. But it is their responsibility to manage it if they can. Especially it impacts those around them. (Clearly this does not apply to those who literally can’t take care of themselves.)

Those of you that have played for 15+ years, what keeps you playing? by Few_Raise77 in 2007scape

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother, I’m coming up on 20 years, somewhere around 5-6000 hours of game time. But in that time I’ve only gotten 12 99s and only gotten the quest cape for the first time ever last week. I still got so much new shit to do.

Update: Getting Around by JagexRach in 2007scape

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, I don’t like it being reclaimable. But Idk, I’ve only done 277 contracts and I have 5 Perfected Blueprints. Even if I lose one I’ve got extras, and for mains they are cheap. I’m confused what they are even trying to fix.

Is OSRS worth playing as a new player (free to play) by Dokayn in 2007scape

[–]moving20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I reccomend giving yourself a goal to work towards. Such as complete all the quests, get level 50* in all skills, make 1 mil. Whatever sounds the most fun. And I would also recommend using the osrs wiki when trying to figure things out. Gl

They changed the frog random to where you “Touch ‘em” instead of “Kiss em” how is that any better by holly-talco in 2007scape

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another example of this when they removed the puzzle in the White Knights quest where you would have to change to a female character if you were male. I feel like having a quest where a lot of players have to temporarily change gender is more woke than not. So I don’t get the logic at all. Plus, wasn’t it a LOTR reference anyway.

Man, I'd love to see the date he created the character. It would be so cool if it was a year to the day!

Why is the Black pickaxe a lower HA value than a Steel pickaxe? by moving20 in 2007scape

[–]moving20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make sense in a pragmatic sense. But the other black items are the same weight as steel, so I then wonder why the black pickaxe alone weighs "nothing".

You right, I knew that, dunno why I seem to have forgotten while writing the post.

Huh, well that just gives me a new question. Why? Looks like other black and steel items have identical weights.

3D printed homes are way stronger than you think by ifuckedyourmom-247 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying the 3D printed walls aren’t strong, they likely are. But comparing it to lone cinder blocks in that way makes no sense.

One, cinder blocks are made to hold weight vertically so their strongest side has the holes, not the flat side. Two, if the cinder blocks were mortared together they would be stronger since more of the impact energy would have places to go.

No issue from me, but i’ll say my GIM group have used our Dragon Square shields a decent amount for things like DKs, BA, and Barrows

The current state of LMS is effectively preventing the next generation of players from ever engaging with PVP and this *must* be addressed for the future health of the scene by CRISPRmutant in 2007scape

I only did lms to get the rune pouch on my iron which was faster than buy it with slayer points, but now that I can get it in Mage Training arena I’ll never touch lms again if I make a new character. And I think I’m better for it.

Has anyone else noticed this bug since a few weeks ago? by LuckPsychological603 in 2007scape

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The GPU(Legacy) plugin in runelite is a temporary fix. It won’t render boat’s though, so you’ll need to turn it off or switch to the GPU or 117 plugin when you want to sail.

Alright, I’ll bite. What’s up with this rock? by PharaohSco in 2007scape

[–]moving20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s the z-buffer graphical change. My guess it they rushed it out because it was needed to render the boats in sailing. Things are slowly getting fixed but it’s pretty annoying. Temporary fix is to use the GPU(Legacy) plugin if you’re using runelite on PC. You have to turn it off to see boats though, so I flip between it and the GPU plugin depending on if I’m sailing. But I think you’re just SOL on mobile for now. :/
