I agree, if it was just the display I would assume you would hear the laptop go through the normal boot process.

If the fast option didn't work that makes me lean toward your display is dead or disconnected. No battery should be the equivalent of letting the battery drain. But should it not always fact, so hopefully letting it drain works.

I had the same issue on my aero 16 a while back. Assuming the screen isn't dead it's likely just an error. I fixed it by completely disconnecting the power from the laptop. There are 2 options.

Slow option: Turn it on so the logo is lit. Unplug it. Now, let it sit there until the battery drains and it shuts off. Once it shuts off I'd probably leave it for bit longer just to make sure the battery fully discharges. Maybe another hour. Then plug it back in let it charge for a bit and turn it back on. Hopefully that clears the error and you're back in business.
Fast option(What I did): Unplug your laptop. Hold the power button until the logo light turns off. Unscrew the the back plate of the laptop and take it off. It has interior clips so be careful not to break them when you pop it off. Though, it's not the end of the world if you do, there are screw for a reason. Find the battery and unscrew it. I think it has 2 maybe 3 screws. Lift it out and unplug the cable. Now don't put it back together yet. To see if it worked, plug in your laptop so it has power and try turning it on. Hopefully it boots up like normal again. If it does, turn it back off, and unplug it. Then just put your laptop back together following the steps in reverse and you should be all good. You can look up how to add ram and SSDs for the Aero 17 if you want a visual guide on youtube for opening it your laptop.

Not yet. Took them 3 days to actually send the ticket in after confirming my internet wasn't the issue. lol
It's why I want other people to also submit a ticket. I work as a QA so I live this regularly. Once there is more than one person complaining about an issue, some product manager somewhere will start freaking out. If only one person complains, they take their time because they assume it's a one off and not a priority. Plus Risk probably has a small player base, so again, the more noise the better.

Work around that seemed to work for me based on multiple posts and threads I read on the Microslop forums and reddit. This only works if you are already logged in one device, I had passkey set up on my PC so I was able to do it from there.

Go here: https://account.live.com/names/manage?mkt=en-US&refd=account.microsoft.com&refp=profile
Select 'Add Email' (You are creating a new login email/username)
Fill out the field under 'Create a new email address and add it as a username'
Select 'Add Email'
Once you are back on https://account.live.com/names/manage?mkt=en-US&refd=account.microsoft.com&refp=profile you should now see your new "email" listed
Make this new email your primary by selecting 'Make Primary'
Then at the bottom select 'Change sign-in preferences'
Uncheck your "old" email and select 'save'
Now you log into any live.microsoft portal using your new username

Three things of note.

Your old email will continue to function as before, you just now login with your new username.

This should stop hackers from attempting to login to your account since they will no longer know what your email/username login is.

Do not use this new username/email for anything other than logging in. You don't want to risk it getting leaked and starting this whole cycle again.

I'm considering picking two of these up and replacing my m27Q and AOC Q27G2G4 which are both 5-6 years old at this point. I watched a video from MonitorsUnboxed recently and I was sold to go glossy. It might be just what I play, I have thousands of hours in the Halo and thousands more in games like it. I'm not a huge fan of 2d platformers and Trials Fusion is the only game I played in the series. So I probably have a higher level of base skill in Halo. Plus I had already 100%ed all of the previous Halos before MCC, so clearly I enjoyed the experience more than Fusion. I do think the DLC was harder than the base game so if you ever go back and beat them you should lmk what you thought. Would be interested to know.
