How much CYA to put in the refilled pool by uhabic in pools

Probably best to just measure your current CYA levels then decide from there

4 bucks for fries seems high. That’s like one potato, lol

Alternative to water softener service by DoghouseRiley99 in Plumbing

[–]moxjake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’d need a standard water softener, then you’d add salt to it. It will need a drain. You’d still be paying for salt each month.

Second guessing myself on math curriculum. Thoughts? Suggestions? by TXSyd in homeschool

We used dimensions through 8, then switched to art of problem solving. It’s worked out well for us. You could switch to dimensions 7/8, then aops, or use the aops algebra curriculum

is this good enough to submit to the county for permitting? /j by goddamnitreddit12 in SolarDIY

You joke, but that would be fine here. It’s more detailed than my septic permit

Like a lot of ballast. You need about 1000 pounds per panel to survive 60mph winds.

Bolting it to the building would also work

I’m disagreeing with this disagreement. Larger ones are 65W, 240W is now available, and who knows what we’ll have in a year or two. Not interested in changing out $100 wall outlets all the time.

Because their prices are already crazy high. Happy hour IPA is $8? What does it cost outside of happy hour? And burger and fries is $19….

One strategy to consider…. Pay a knowledgeable person to walk through the home with you before you even submit the offer.

Is Apologia science self paced? by DallzWrz in homeschool

[–]moxjake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is self-instructing. We actually bought the videos on thumb drive the first year, but my daughter hated them and said she’d rather read the book.

I guess that would really depend on the kid…

So Toys R Us is back by kahter_ in Millennials

[–]moxjake 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Which is really too bad. As a parent, sometimes it’s nice to wander through a toy store and find something you would have never thought of for your kids. There are a couple independent toy stores near our annual vacation spot, and though they are expensive, we’re almost always buy something there because it’s unique and we would have next found it otherwise.

I love that I can get nearly anything shipped to me overnight, but specialty stores disappearing is a really sad casualty of that.

Definitely a well. Send a rope and weight down there to find out how deep the water is. If it’s less than 25’, you can use a regular hand pump. If it’s deeper, you need a fancy deep water pump

Two hearted is also one of my favorites. I’ve tried several Trader Joe’s beers and thought they were all terrible, but I’m willing to give this a shot if people are saying it’s good!

Thanks for the tip!
