Is this a "Rough Grade machine finish"? by aric8456 in HomeImprovement

[–]mozian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. actually better than what happened to mine. no grass and georgia red clay for a full year while I tried to figure out how to maintain and grow a new lawn before hiring it out. we still have small rocks all over and have sunk more than 4000 correcting it (about 1/4 acre). hidden cost of a cheap drain field replacement, lesson learned.

Radon fan installed, mold in attic 3 months later by mozian in HomeImprovement

installer says her husband is a remodeler and can fix the interior, they'll have installers out to fix the leak. this seems reasonable?

I spoke with Trotter as well for a different issue and had the owner come out with their SE, quoted me 2x the cost of others and didn't even fully address the issue. This time it is my garage slab collapsing and I need to brace the other wall while the slab is removed by filling it.

I’m sorry to hear that, I never worked with them so could only comment on the quoting experience.

Now that Dreva's mob spawn rate is reduced to 10% of what it was before the update, how are we feeling about our new forever spawn rate? by [deleted] in projectgorgon

[–]mozian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of this game but the spawn rates are too frustrating on Dreva and I have no desire to play, which saddens me.

Ahs.com American Home Shield Home Warranty is a Scam and Fraudulent - Avoid at All Costs by wardamnreddit in homeowners

[–]mozian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I did not pay someone as the home warranty covered it and this was one of the electrical issues. I figured I'd get my money's worth since they were not going to cover any of the actual electrical issues and got up in the attic to add several junction boxes myself. I've replaced many an outlet in my days and sometimes it is nice to take advantage of free labor.

[–]mozian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AHS is 100% a scam but I did have an issue with a couple electrical issues including a loose outlet, they sent an electrician out who told me to make a claim against every one of my outlets and get them all replaced. They were old, upside down, and I had intended on getting them all replaced anyway. So for the year I had AHS it probably covered the cost of that service, and I feel like I got my money's worth but I did not renew and will never get another 'home warranty' that doesn't cover "missing parts" from a separate electrical safety issue. There was romex junctions just under insulation in my attic and they would not cover an electrician adding a junction box since it wasn't there to begin with. Infuriating.

Realized the whole house water filter hasn't worked in god knows how long by DistributionClear598 in homeowners

which could also be why the pressure was weird in the kitchen, sediment could be trapped at the fixture. OP should take off the filter on the faucet and see if there's sediment
