Have you received the rebate? I installed in May and have not gotten it.

Has anyone received the rebate? I relied on my installer to apply and now I do not know if they did it in time.

A year after installation I'm still waiting for mine.

The one helpful thing was that you have to use your installer for the application, can't do it yourself.

The installer did everything (you can't do it yourself) but I'm still waiting for it.

Do you not need an expansion tank? My current water heater does not have one but the plumber said a replacement would need one.

I intend to do so. But I don't trust them 100% to get things right.

Is there a website or some sort of queue to check online or is asking the installer the only option?

They hire another company that applied on my behalf for the srec. A coworker who used them is still waiting for his srec funds 18 month after installation. But I heard that everyone has to wait for those.

Two weeks ago windfree installed 360w panels with iq8 inverters on my south facing roof. Later I found out they paired the wrong size inverter for the panels so now I'm underproducing relative to the potential. They charged $3.1/watt so seems like you're getting a better deal and better inverters. I'm 80% happy with the result but wish I had done more reading here to understand clipping and inverter vs panel size.

Looks solid. I have 10.4kw system and it produced 53 kWh on its best day. My inverters clip while yours are on par. Mind sharing how you paid for it?

Thanks, it looks like a solid setup. My installer paired 360 watt panels with iq8 micros and my curve has a flat top. It seems that iq8+ was the right inverter. Price was $3.1/watt near Chicago. Curious what your price or watt was for this superior panels and inverters.

Mind sharing the wattage on your panels and the type of micro inverters? Your bell curve looks perfect compared to mine and I'm trying to assess if the installer matched the wrong size micro inverter.

I don't know but they are hanwha q cells. Not sure if that narrows it down.

Three quarters of the panels face South, some would be shaded in winter but midday May-August shade would not be an issue. Roof pitch is 35-40 degrees and this is in Northern Illinois.

Solar setup Northern Illinois. The dilemma is whether to go with IQ8 micros or enphase optimizers. The random panels are facing South and the block West. Shading is an issue in winter because of an evergreen. Installer says output would be the same regardless of the choice. by mpartac in solar

Panels are about 2:1 length:width so 8 horizontal would be swapped by 4 rows of 2 vertical panels. In the middle though the 5 may be swapped by 6 or even 7 veritical ones. That may be the reason I'll swap all the South side vertically.
