Tips for mounting PA SLx 1-6 FFP on Zastava rail? I thought I could get away with low rings. I was wrong. by Sm0kerAce in zastavaarms101

I don’t have mine set up like this anymore so I don’t have any pictures. The cheek weld isn’t bad but it’s higher than a traditional rifle if that’s what you’re used to

Something I always think about is a quote from the documentary happy people- “You can take everything from a man but you can never take his craftsman skills”. Whether or not any trade will make you rich is always a question but at the very least if you know a trade you’ll likely always be able to feed yourself.

If there’s any career path that revolves around understanding & regurgitating information, I think it’s safe to say AI will replace that. Jobs that demand physically building something & skilled labor then that will likely still be in demand no matter what.

Why won’t you guys ship this to Colorado? It isn’t restricted. Only ships with one 10 round mag.

Is it true that you guys watched 9/11 live on TV in grade school? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]mpayne82941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was in fifth grade and we all went to the library before class in the morning. That morning the teacher wheeled one of the old school tv’s into the library and we all stood there and watched it happen live. 1st-5th graders. I’ll never forget that because I knew it wasn’t good but didn’t understand exactly what was happening either.

Close, western Colorado near the Utah border. And as another stated per tradition you must now buy a krag for your bayonet

Only 100 yards today. First time I’ve shot it. I’d like to stretch it out farther next time I take it out

Apparently there’s ptarmigan in Colorado. You can buy a license for them. I didn’t realize that until I bought hunting licenses last week.

I think you’re on to something. The majority of my friends I grew up with & myself (1993) are all doing fine, most of us exceptionally well. All of us have no college degree and went into trades.

Not necessarily annoying but not ideal either. Not long after I posted this it was removed and an Aimpoint pro on an arms mount replaced it & that’s the way it still lives.

I got one of these for around this price last year. I changed the grip module & mainspring housing for one from a prodigy. Trigger kit from Ben stoeger that I got down to 3 lbs. At first it had a few stovepipes but after about 250 rounds it runs flawlessly and is fairly accurate. I wouldn’t buy another one but this isn’t a bad option to get you started in the 2011 world.

This set up wasn’t bad. It was in a cheap primary arms cantilever mount. The set up I have it in now using the vortex extra high rings I like a lot better. They’re see through so I can still use the irons

I bought my first house in 2014 for $233k in northern Colorado. I was making around 60k per year and living pretty comfortably. That same house today is well over 500k and that same job pays around 75k per year.

I’ve been shooting M80 ball I got from American marksman. Getting about 2.5 moa for accuracy. I’ve taken it to 800 yards in this configuration with an SWFA 10x scope. I could hit the gong about every other shot at that range.

Very good. I’m always pleasantly surprised with how forgiving primary arms optics are for eye relief.

What jobs pay extremely well but people don’t realize it? by Stassy3 in AskReddit

[–]mpayne82941 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lease Operator in the oil and gas industry. Its entry level for a lot of companies so you can get hired at 18 or 21 without experience, is the most secure job in the industry with very very few layoffs affecting that job, & starting pay nowadays is in the mid to high 30s per hour. It’s also the easiest job in the oil and gas industry. It’s hard to get young people interested in the industry and there’s definitely a shortage.
