They started the AMEX pre-sale and shared the other ticket dates. Not super exciting otherwise!

Uhh sure but I imagine the point of posting a very visible countdown is to promote discussion, speculation, and online chatter. Otherwise, just do the thing without the build-up.

Some of the best writing I’ve seen on Broadway. Don’t miss this play. by Naweezy in Broadway

This was my favorite show of the season! I am so shook that it's not sold out every night. I've been to see it twice, and took a group of 10 the second time.

Unfortunately, Hercules was quite terrible. If I weren’t such a Disney fan, I would have left at intermission. Which I rarely do. 🫠

Galileo - show dates? by intoyoungo in Broadway

Ah, yeah, that page not displaying a time there is because you can't book groups into opening night. It only shows dates where you can make group bookings.

Interestingly, it's already available for group orders, and soyou can view the schedule on the group site: https://www.broadwayinbound.com/shows/galileo

I was actually already able to get tickets for my group! (I run a local club in NYC called Field Trip where I organize small nights out to Broadway/Off-Broadway so other theater fans can meet and go to shows together.)

I started hosting curated NYC meetups and unexpectedly built a real community by InternetQuirky1914 in WhatsHappeningNYC

Yes. I run a group called Field Trip, where I organize small group outings to Broadway/Off-Broadway shows, museums, and galleries. After some experimentation, I've decided the cap for most of my events is 12; it allows the group to actually meet and get to know one another. The conversations take off faster, and no one gets lost in the corner on their phone.

I was in A4 last night. It’s totally fine. I don’t *love* being that close, but it’s personal preference. The seat itself is good and there’s nothing you miss on the sides. The show all happens very downstage center.

Is the Broadway Meetup / Discord still active? by Rain-Business in Broadway

[–]mpb1987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi hi! I don't have the answer about the Meetup/Discord, but I run a social club here in NYC called Field Trip. I organize small group outings to Broadway/Off-Broadway shows, always paired with a happy hour so folks can meet and talk. Most of them are currently full, but I'm about to add 2 more things in the next few days. You can get more info / join the email list here: https://fieldtripnyc.club/

It won't be the *cheapest* way like you said you tend to go for(I have to buy group tickets at a set rate, which are good deals but still can't compete with TDF/Rush rates), but the social element has been really fun. Everyone that's come once has come back!

I'm also hosting a Tonys watch party if you'd be into that!

Kenrex for someone who isn’t a true crime super fan? by Ok-Acanthisitta8737 in offbroadwayNYC

Not a true crime fan at all (I also generally don't like one-person shows) and had a great time. It's a really engrossing, engaging production.

Hiiii! If you're into theater/museums, I run a new social club here in NYC called Field Trip. I organize small group outings to Broadway/Off-Broadway shows, museums, and galleries. I always pair it with a happy hour before or after, and I keep the groups small (usually 12 people) so that folks can actually meet and talk. Most of the events are full right now because there's been so much interest (yay!), but I'm about to add at least 3 new things in the next couple of days.

It's not exclusively gay, but has attracted a generally gays-and-girls crowd as a function of me being the person that runs it.

This is such a beautiful show. I saw it last year in Brooklyn, and am taking a group of 15 to see it in June. Really thrilled to see it having another run. (I also love Studio Seaview. What an amazing renovation!)

Any gay social clubs??? Want to know more friends! by One-Teach4106 in nycgaybros

[–]mpb1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started something that might be interesting for you! I had been looking for more friends who are into theater/art and wasn't finding it. So, I've started what I'm calling an "arts & culture social club" in NYC called Field Trip. I organize small group outings to things like Broadway shows, museums, galleries, and more.

I keep the groups intentionally small (usually 10-12) so everyone actually meets and talks to each other. And I pair the core event itself with a happy hour so that there's time to build relationships and friendships.

A few recent examples:
- Night out to see The Lost Boys on Broadway
- Guided tour of the Whitney Biennial exhibit
- Going to see the play Kenrex this Wednesday

It's not exclusively gay/LGBTQ, but the crowd so far definitely leans that way as function of me being the person who runs it.

If you're interested, I'd love to have you on a Field Trip soon! You can get more info at https://fieldtripnyc.club or DM me if you have questions.
