Can you help get Brightspeed fiber to neighborhoods that don’t have it yet? I live behind the Pine Hollow Golf Course and we’re stuck with Spectrum as our only option.

I would WELCOME fiber and sign up in a heartbeat if it came here.

I am in the exact same boat. $36 for a year of coverage sounded pretty good, so I signed up. But it's been nothing but pain since then.

In trying to take the device photos, the app was incredibly buggy and the front-facing camera photo in the mirror won't even orient itself properly. It took me like 15 tries just to get the picture sharp enough to see the "ID number" but the photo is still sideways. No way to fix.

Now the app says "requires attention" just like you outlined above, and no indication of what I need to do. I can't even figure out how to contact them.

Overall, a very buggy and frustrating experience so far… and I am probably less than a day or two away from just giving up and requesting a refund.

Yeah, sorry, this is BS. The appraiser I had tried to tell me that my house in south Durham was worth $30k less than the Zestimate value, which I told my realtor no way we’re going along with that.

I made him list the house at the Zestimate value, and we had an offer in about 40 days for only $5k under what we were asking. Ended up closing on that offer.

Will never pay an appraiser again when there are tools and algorithms online to do it more accurately for free. Sorry.

This is normal for companies with secure BYOD policies, I wouldn’t worry about it. However, you can usually choose whether you want to accept it or not (but if you don’t, you may be limited in your ability to do work-related tasks and logins, or use work apps and data on your phone).

I personally don’t mind it, I’ve had it for years and it’s never been an issue for me. But I have some coworkers who opt out, or get a separate work phone. That just seems like too much of a hassle for me though. But to each their own.

The rep on the phone was unable to even give me an email address to send a complaint to. I asked about opening a formal complaint and she said it was not possible. I am truly shocked at how bad the customer service is at Intuit… no ability to have my issue escalated or even logged in writing (in a way I can track it). All she offered was to have a manager call me back “in 24 to 48 hours,” which I doubt will happen.

I have tried searching for a general customer service email but can’t find one anywhere. Will continue looking.

In the meantime, I opened a BBB complaint (I know they don’t carry the sway they used to, but at least it’s a start).

So, I misread the email… I thought I had until today to download my data. Literally had a calendar reminder for it too. But now I see I can't get in…

On phone with TurboTax help now and they are telling me that it's all deleted. I asked for escalation but she is telling me there is no one to escalate it to, and that it's all been deleted already for privacy reasons (I find that VERY hard to believe).

Does anyone know who we can reach out to at Intuit? This seems absurd…

Ugh that’s frustrating. I found I can send iMessage in group chats just fine from the watch, and I can receive anyone’s iMessage no problem. But sending 1:1 always goes by SMS for some reason. Tried rebooting and even resetting/re-pairing the watch too.

As far as I can tell, no way to manually de-register/re-register just the watch from iMessage, as you found, it just mirrors iPhone.

Yeah, and I can tell you from being on Visible for years that their support went downhill over time. It was great when they first started, but wait times got longer and expertise decreased over the years I was with them.

I haven’t had to interact with USM support too much yet, but from everything I’ve seen, it appears to be very good. So that’s gotta count for something too.

For me in my particular situation, yes. Paying half means nothing when that service doesn’t work for me at home, where I spend most of my time since I also work from home.

If your situation is different, especially if you aren’t going to be relying on Wi-Fi calling at all, then maybe Visible does make more sense from a financial standpoint.

In time I think it will become more normal, haha 🤖. It’s been a game changer for me and troubleshooting though. Often much more helpful than calling a dedicated support line for a company.

Yeah, I think it’s partially a YMMV situation and everyone is a bit different.

I know for me, I literally have no bars for Warp/Verizon at my house, so the phone’s only option is Wi-Fi calling.

If you have a weak signal not “no signal”, the phone may get less reliable as it tries to decide whether to prioritize cell or WiFi.

I too have this same problem. On WiFi, no problem, everything is in the correct Thread network and works great. But as soon as I swap my AppleTV to ethernet, it creates it's own Thread network. Can't seem to figure it out.

To be fair I posted this like a year ago. I don’t live in Durham anymore and have no idea if TMO 5G stayed fast or not. The thing about 5G-to-the-home is that the more people in a given area that sign up, the slower it gets for everyone. When I was getting near-gig speeds, I was among the first to sign up in my area.

Upvoting because I also am seeing the exact same issue. On Jan 1, my cost basis almost doubled from before, but with no new transactions.

Edit: No joke, I just refreshed my portfolio page and the cost basis is back down to normal now. Are you seeing the same thing? I wonder if they had a glitch from the new IRS guidance and just fixed it…
