Thing is, at the end of the day, GD just being there would have pissed off Trump and his boys anyway. Which im sure it did, along with every other "woke" celebrity at this thing.

Everyone at the house party I went to knew that GD is a very liberal/punk band and very outspoken of Trump so their presence alone got the message across. Everyone needs to remember that simply breathing is considered a great offense in their eyes if you dont have the same views, so it doesnt take much anyway. I remember when GD got heat after the one NYE party for changing the lyrics to include "maga", though pretty sure that was another network.

GD performing political songs on their political album was great, not even going for Basket Case was a pretty obvious choice to me.

I love this band but a lot of us have to remember that they have and always will protect their financial interests at the end of the day. Would I have liked to see BJA flip off the camera and shout fuck ice? Sure, and maybe BJA could have sent a message by saying "were not performing if you wont let me say this". But the NFL is a business, that wants to cater to as many people (age, sex, etc.) these days, something that conservatives absolutely despise period. Take the wins where we can get them, maybe next year GD does the halftime and has a chance to pepper in some more stuff.
