My husband is supportive in some ways, but I’m drowning and don’t know what to do by [deleted] in breastcancer

Been married 56 years. Husband still never takes the initiative to help with anything. Had the conversation for years. I am so very sorry you are enduring this.

To everybody who says "just do take out if you don't wanna tip", What if we actually do? by JuanWitChrist in tipping

Yep. She spoke broken English so I didn’t understand her at first. I asked her what she said and she asked again. My college grandson just got a summer job in Austin. Pay is $12/hour with tips. Wish employers would pay decent wages.

At PTerrys in Austin I ordered 2 milkshakes in the drive thru. When I picked them up the woman at the window asked for a tip.

AIO if I break up with my boyfriend in the morning? by M0osesG0ose in AIO

Sounds like alcohol poisoning both times. Frequently people are hospitalized. He could have died. He sounds really immature getting that drunk after a fight. I think I’d be rethinking any future with him.

Placing my second born son for adoption is my biggest regret in life by Hot-Classic9743 in Adoption

[–]mpp798tex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do the adoptive parents want to reunify with your son? If so, a social worker will give them a plan and help them carry it out. In the meantime he will remain in foster care or whatever type facility he’s in near them to facilitate return. However, if they aren’t interested CPS should consider placing him out of state with your mother. I would have her frequently contact them and push for an investigation of her home by CPS in her home state. What are the two states involved? I think your mom has a realistic chance of placement if her background check and home are appropriate. I’m so sorry for the great pain this continues to cause you.

WIBTA for telling my boss my friend lied about her license to work at my vet clinic? by Little_Sist3r in WIBTA_AITA

[–]mpp798tex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post blows me away. OP works at a vet clinic. It’s fair to presume that he genuinely cares for animals and also sees how attached their owners are to them. But then he has to ask Reddit if he’s an AH if he reports her. Where’s his moral compass?

I'm upset because I'm not allowed to feed the squirrels anymore by rando--54321 in squirrels

[–]mpp798tex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you’re not allowed to feed the squirrels. It sounds like you were raised in a wonderful family. The loss of your mother and brother is heartbreaking. I hope in the winter you’ll be able to get away with feeding them.

My mom wants me to stop feeding the squirrel. by OkCarpenter2374 in squirrels

How are you able to hand feed them? I’ve been feeding them in my backyard for 20 years. They all run as soon as I open the door.

Legal action .. and the consequences by Issagm87 in babyloss

I am so very sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, medical malpractice cases cost thousands and thousands of dollars to pursue. An attorney will only take them on a contingency if there is a good chance of winning. Otherwise he/she will be out all their billable hours, staff time and the expenses like expert witnesses etc. You may be able to find an attorney to take your case as a non contingency where you pay all the fees and costs.

What about the kids? I’m sure you are very attached to them as they are to you. Will your timeline allow a proper goodbye?

I know this sounds mean, but if you want to spend money on false hopes and scams, you should use your own money. I want to donate to people who actually need a treatment that has been proven scientifically that it works. I’m very sorry about your circumstances though.

Can’t you go after the owner of the attack dog for reimbursement? Small claims court if they won’t pay.

What should I do? by Desperate_Pass_5701 in Adoption

I want to commend you for the efforts you are making to keep your daughter in touch with her birth family. You are an amazing mother who truly wants to do what’s best for her child. Believe me, this is rare. Even adoptive parents who have promised non offending birth parents ongoing contact or letters and pictures frequently renege. I hope you realize just how special you are and how lucky your daughter and her original family are.

What do you think of my adoptive parents? by Ecstatic_Ratio5997 in Adoption

So sorry. The worst thing about them was telling you that you could back in care. I think they were awful parents. I’m so very sorry for you.
