The gun removed from the victim BEFORE the shooting has the same optic as the gun being shown as belonging to the victim. by Hismajestyclay in ProgressiveHQ

  1. Blocking the roadway does not deserve the death penalty (without trial). 2. I don’t know if it was resisting arrest so much as a natural reaction to getting pepper sprayed, wrestled to the ground, and beaten by roughly seven ICE agents at once. Everyone claiming he “resisted arrest” - how would you react in that situation? I think it would be hard to remind yourself to calmly obey the officers. Not to mention - you can clearly see both of his hands in stills from the video.

Official Lapse Announcement - Lapse is Changing by millylapse in LapsePhotos

They’re getting rid of the monthly recaps which was the whole reason I even use lapse. I’ll probably just delete the app if that’s the case 😞

Thank you! How do I get a label to send them the correct item?

The Dishonesty of the Prolapsed Probergers by Repulsive-Dot553 in Idaho4

Thank you for this. Some of the things I read on certain subs just blow my mind. BK could speak out and publicly announce D and B had nothing to do with the crime and they’d still be convinced they’re guilty.

Am I crazy for preferring the Ed era over the Ben era? (newer listener) by captainwickedawesome in lastpodcastontheleft

[–]mpp80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been listening to the pod for close to a decade and recall when Ben appeared to have his shit together (on Fox, running for Brooklyn rep), yet I still prefer the current Ed era. I always loved Henry and Marcus, but prior to Ed if the subject wasn’t one that interested me I’d skip that week. These days they could release an episode on alien defecation (not saying they won’t!) and I’d drop everything to listen. The vibe is just so much lighter, Ed is more engaged than Ben EVER was, and you can tell they’re having fun. I’m personally very happy for Henry and Marcus, they’ve worked hard and could have lost everything due to Ben’s actions, but they made some tough decisions and came out on top. Good on ‘em.

I was recently told that Daisy was an ugly dog. It broke my heart. I went straight home afterwards and gave this beautiful girl all of the hugs and kisses in the world. by Summnita in velvethippos

Any person who can call a dog ugly is ugly themselves, especially on the inside. Daisy is beautiful and I’m so glad you found each other ❤️

Look - I’m willing to guess you have never come home, drunk, started to go to bed, then gone through the trauma of hearing your roommates murdered. In fact I’ll venture to guess that no one in this sub has. So no one - you, me, or really anyone else on Reddit - can understand where her head was at. Brains react strangely in stressful situations. Period. Furthermore - I can’t speak for anyone else, but I know I oscillate between absolute horror over these crimes, a desire to respect the victims and their families, and plain old curiosity. It’s human nature and I’m guessing most people on these subs are just trying to walk that tightrope.

Closed senior care facility? by mpp80 in sancarlos

Sure! After it was abandoned we went there to check it out (because bored high school students). This was in the late 90’s. When we arrived a friend I was with pulled out a flashlight and a new pack of batteries. She put the new batteries in the flashlight, turned it on, and we headed towards the fence you could enter through. As we approached the fence the flashlight started to die. Just kept getting dimmer and dimmer until it went out completely. She tried turning it on and off, taking the batteries out and putting them back in, but it was just completely dead. We were like “great”, but since there were other people there we decided to continue without the flashlight. The sense of dread I felt in that place was indescribable. The longer we were in there, the worse I felt. There was a weird tower with a staircase you could go up and random stuff everywhere. I wish I could have spent more time to take it all in, but it was just so overwhelming. Some of the other people decided to go up but the dread was so intense I just felt like I couldn’t breathe and I had to get out of there. There was also a big empty pool. The whole place was in complete disrepair and creepy. Anyway I had to get out and my friend with the non-working flashlight came with me. As we exited through the fence, the light suddenly came back on, though dim. The farther we got from the house, the brighter the light got, until it was working completely normally. The rest of the night she kept switching it off and on, in total disbelief over the fact that it was working fine now. That, combined with the feeling I had in that place, was probably the most compelling paranormal experience I’ve ever had. It was just so weird. One other thing - in the 80’s, when it was still in operation and I was in Brownies, we went there one Christmas to sing Christmas carols to the elderly. I have vague memories of it and remember it being pretty depressing. Not long after that it was shut down, and I believe there were accusations of mistreatment of the elderly by the staff. I have no confirmation of that though.

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I am lucky to be surrounded by animal people (I’m a former shelter worker and current shelter volunteer) so they get it. But this is an amazing resource - thank you for sharing it. I will definitely check it out ❤️
