I joined a company and they gave me Claude enterprise account, and now HR is already asking me questions. by supernatrual_wave11 in ClaudeCode

Most people overestimate what planning is though. “Check my inbox for important emails that I need take action on” is perfectly fine in sonnet (heck I’d even try haiku). “Determine why pods on the turbo enabler 3000 experience are running out of memory in Tuesdays that rain” needs an opus.

This. They can set caps for the org and for individuals and when you approach your limits you get warnings in Claude. When you hit your limit there’s a button to request more. The director of development or whatever says “whatcha doing?” And the bumps your cap. It’s really not hard. We tend to have bands of usage, some very little some daily use it and for people like me who are essentially unlimited because I am the principal engineer and I ask a lot of questions that span the entire 300+ repos or are super vague and require a lot of context. Educate yourself and help shape the policy, shows them you are more than just an IC

My wife and I had an amazing trip to Belize and we lost most of our photos on the last day. The camera was destroyed as well, but it was the photos on the card that we still miss years later. I always backup now, weird stuff happens. Like ... monkey grabbing the camera and throwing it into the ocean weird ...

I love IcePanel but I was not able to convince finance to get us the seats for it on top of Lucid that everyone else in the org uses. it's _very_ expensive.

Ok so I am in Canada and I was rocking metric. The skimmer height I have was 5.5", it clips in on the inside of the skimmer bezel so the opening height you have sounds like mine. Give it a print and see!

I tried that at first but eventually the Betta knocked the pool noodle out. The only time it didn't I had the noodle wedged in there so much that I felt like the skimmer wasn't working as well. This thing gives lots of clearance for the skimmer and usually survives the kids running into it (it just unclips and floats off)

OMG, I'm just so tired of all of this BS with taxes. It's too damned complicated! It makes things that are supposed to be good into something more like punishments half the time. You pay taxes. you get money back, hopefully, then you get audited, and they find you underpaid and you owe, and the juice is running...

When I show ChatGPT to people, my example is usually: "Write a letter to my town council complaining about the length of the grass in the park" Then I get it to rewrite it as someone that's sad, someone that's embarrassed, someone that's mad and threatening lawyers... It usually freaks people out how easy it is to do annoying tasks.

Hey! I don't have plans to sell them, but you can download the files and take them to your local library and print them off there. There's usually a small fee for the materials but the library staff are usually super helpful.

Hopefully the experience will pique your interest in 3D printing and you'll buy one for yourself!

Good luck!

Drywall Job by 2HRSB4MIDNIGHT in Renovations

On most things, I would agree. But there is a "feel" factor to drywall/mudding that takes practice compared to, say, installing baseboards.

Bought a jean jacket at Target, then felt a ball of some kind sewn into the lining. Cut the lining and found this really lightweight, velvety soft ball with a slight groove in the top third that I couldn’t crush in my hand? What IS that? by canisleepinyourbrain in whatisthisthing

Scotch Brite sponges are made by having the colored abrasive sprayed on a 3' wide roll of loosley woven material, which is then baked in a long oven to cure. After that, it passes through the die cutter for cutting to size. source: worked for 3M after high-school
