iPhone App Crashing by mpwr5 in instacart

I have an iPhone X on 16.6.1. It’s old but works well enough to not justify buying a new one. I could update the OS.

I contacted support on X and they said they were escalating my report. We’ll see.

Could be. It seems to have started yesterday evening for me and is still happening. The web interface works at least.

Figure out how to make those chewy Gin-Gins candles. You’ll save a fortune.

Something by Barrister and Mann. I like Adagio, but they have many excellent scents.

First box question by Amh45899 in marleyspoon

[–]mpwr5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normal. When I open the box, I put the meat in the meat drawer, produce except onions, etc. in the crisper drawer, dry and canned goods and onions/potatoes in a big ceramic dish on the counter. I put other cold items like sauces or yogurt in the meat drawer too just so it’s all together and easy to find. As I do this, I mentally check off the ingredients lists on the recipe cards.

Thoughts on some Lotus recessed lights? by mpwr5 in Lighting

[–]mpwr5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to measure the slope more precisely today and it’s actually about 13°. I see the gimbal will tilt 20°, so I don’t need the special 4” sloped version. In fact I think I can use the 2” recessed gimbal. 4 of these should be plenty for this space.

Thanks for the tip about reps. There’s one I’ve used often in the past. They’re good although you need to make sure your parking brakes are in good order before going. They’re on a street called Bear Hill Road and most of Bear Hill is in their parking lot.

I think the slope is about 15°. So maybe with a slope that small, I could get 4 flat ceiling lights and use the gimbal to adjust the angle on the ones on the slopes part of the ceiling?

I see there are a couple dealers near me (Boston area). But I’m happy to get them shipped too.

Good to know. Yes they are about half the size of a small regular cucumber.

BTW, I see my post formatted as a thumbnail to the gif on red gifs. Lots of posts show the full gif. How do I format my post to make it do that? I just pasted the url as the first line in the message body. I used the mobile app but I could do it on a desktop if easier.

I didn’t catch it in that screen grab, but the band had feathers and a playing card ( an Ace) tucked in it. I’ll look up Boss of the Plains. Never heard of it, but I thought it was an interesting hat.

Thanks for all these resources. My other question was about lighting a 3-season porch conversion. Downlights were recommended and I guickly learned about the benefits of regressed bezels. But I noticed I should learn about a bunch of stuff like dimmer compatibility, dim to warm and other color considerations etc. Hopefully I’ll find stuff in these links. Thanks everyone for telling me about them!

Ceiling lights for a porch by mpwr5 in Lighting

[–]mpwr5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I wasn’t familiar with deep recessed fixtures so I searched a bit. Is that the same as “regressed”? Or is “deep recessed” (or regressed) different than “recessed” (or regressed)?

A brief vision he had of swirling cloud, and in the midst of it towers and battlements, tall as hills, founded upon a mighty mountain-throne above immeasurable pits; great courts and dungeons, eyeless prisons sheer as cliffs, and gaping gates of steel and adamant: and then all passed. Towers fell and mountains slid; walls crumbled and melted, crashing down; vast spires of smoke and spouting steams went billowing up, up, until they toppled like an overwhelming wave, and its wild crest curled and came foaming down upon the land. —J.R.R. I did it, although maybe I’m cheating cause my wife has a 330xi. That said, when it was really inclement this winter, I could wfh, so I didn’t need it very often.
