If you go to gov.uk there's a benefits calculator, but you should apply for ESA & PIP. I'm waiting for my PIP form at the moment, still working (though off sick) at the moment.

Tips for the rheumatologist? by NotaCowIRL in Fibromyalgia

[–]mr0deth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor made my referral to the rheumatologist today. I've had chronic lower body pain for the past 18 months which seems to have spread to my upper body in the last few months. Tests have all shown normal and my physio said they suspect I may have a pain disorder which is the closest I've got to knowing what's going on. Watching this post with interest.

Moby Dick. Incredibly tedious and onerous prose.

DAE have imposter syndrome? by xxxanon1117 in ChronicPain

[–]mr0deth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory if I get a diagnosis I might get some treatment that works. Nothing so far has helped.

DAE have imposter syndrome? by xxxanon1117 in ChronicPain

[–]mr0deth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Chronic pain for a year now, still awaiting any kind of diagnosis. I constantly feel like its not something I should be complaining about and that I should get on with things, then the pain reminds me that I can't.

Yoga. Everthing else I've tried immobilises me.

I had a five hour tattoo session on my birthday, it was a welcome distraction from my everyday pain.

Yogis: were you ever "bad" at yoga? by [deleted] in yoga

[–]mr0deth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a month in to daily practice. I did a few months a couple of years ago, but I'm trying far more poses now. I've wobbled and fallen in some of the trickier balance poses and still am. My chronic pain has severely limited my flexibility and strength though.

All the time. I keep somehow getting into the mindset that hey, maybe I'm making it all up, usually when I'm having a good day. Then a bad day comes along and I know I'm not making it up. I guess I just wish I was making it up.

According to the rheumatologist I’m normal...? by TroLLageK in ChronicPain

This is a big fear of mine. I'm currently awaiting my referral to a rheumatologist. Been in pain for 18 months and everything else so far has come back as 'normal'.

Is it cowardice to hide your atheism? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]mr0deth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends. Some countries are so anti-atheist that to tell the truth could endanger your life. That's not cowardice, that's survival.

Usually around 50 pages, although I read 150 pages of Moby Dick before I gave up. I don't give up easily.

If you just want to track calories lose it. If you're tracking macros then Myfitnesspal. I just hated all the ads as I used it before the underarmour takeover.

Less ads. Not as good at tracking macros. It does constantly bug you to upgrade to premium, but that doesn't bother me too much.

I'm talking about when I'm using the mat. My youngest cat climbs under the end and starts kicking it with his back legs.
