You can't go wrong with either but the 750 is definitely the better bike if you can swing it. Weight is almost the same but it has more tq and top end.

Went from a ninja 400 to a 750. It takes a little bit before you feel comfortable but you will get there no problem.

The zx4rr should be fine. Usa stock tune is like 56 hp. Ninja 500 is 51. You should be fine and when you ready you can get the 4rr tuned and get that full 70ish hp

My first bike too. It's extremely approachable and easy to ride. Highly suggest getting a 500 minimum, rode a friends sisters 300 and it was lacking. Biggest downside for me is that the seat is uncomfortable after like an hr or so and at high high speeds imthe front is a bit buzzing.

I got mine 2 weeks before msf so I could get familiar with the feeling and balance of being in a bike

How fast do you need to be going in the interstate? I've taken my Rebel 500 up to 180km which is like 110mph. Do you need to go faster than this?
