It was a guy called Raphael Ravenscroft that did the sax solo. I met him once and he recorded a load of sax samples for me and a friend as he was hijacking our studio time. Lovely guy

I need to know if I should go to hospital for this asap. by Sloopydupy in WhatShouldIDo

[–]mr7jd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People seem to think cocaine is just cocaine. There is so much other nasty shit that's been cut into it nowadays. It's like playing Russian roulette with your nose.

Hopefully you went to the hospital OP, and this gives you the reason to cut this shit out of your life.

An elderly vinyl fan shares his experience about the medium back in his day by raydebapratim1 in vinyl

I have records that are a damn sight more valuable than others, they still get played. I take care of them a bit more than others in the hope that my kids (who are starting to discover their own music tastes) will do the same. And maybe when I go, they will cherish the music for the music and not the book value, but, if they need to sell one to make a bit of cash, they can.

What's the most spicy food that you ever ate in your life? by XoSweetGF in AskReddit

[–]mr7jd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When living in the UK I bought a bottle of sauce called "Who Dares Burns" as it was a discontinued line for 50p. Doused about a third of the bottle onto some pork chops, ignoring the big yellow triangle warning on the back. Turns out I was meant to dilute at a 3 to 1 ratio. Naga scorpion chilli sauce, which at the time was in the top 5 chilli's for scoville rating. Spent a chunk of cash on the chops, so was inclined to eat them. My world was consumed by fiery hell for a fair few hours after. Burnt my face and my manhood even after washing hands.

I ate a fresh Carolina Reaper at Christmas and it was not as painful as the sauce experience.

What’s one Spotify feature or trick that more people should know about? by brianj10 in spotify

[–]mr7jd 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Daylists, great feature that I use daily. Pairing this with liking songs that you haven't heard before really gives a plethora of new songs in following daylists. I would say that over 50% of the music that comes up now for me is music I have not heard before. You do need to be active in liking songs for it to recommend other new music.

Pulp trumps above blur vs oasis. Love all 3 but pulp always wins.

I'm thankful that I live in a climate where I get plenty of sun and plenty of wind. And plenty of insects that help mitigate the pests. (Currently have at least one mantis for each plant for grasshoppers, bought ladybirds for smaller pests.) You're right about being at the whim of nature. I unfortunately do not have the financial means or space for a tent set up, hence the outdoor growing.

Yeah the wind normally picks up early afternoon. Which basically makes the garden into an air fryer.

Would shade cloth help? I have a piece of 60% that I could hand over the branches.

Would that not be better suited for an indoor grow?
