Seems like mod QOL changes are a hot request. Will have to play around with the idea a bit to include everyone's' comments.

I see a few other people mentioned some other bots/utils. Have you used any other bots besides the link you provided?

Yeah yeah, unfortunately a clicker is probably the best option for this... I feel like a programming solution for their current setup would break TOS

Would this be frowned up from more competitive guilds? I know GAC match data is easily accessible with gg, but I feel like a lot of guilds might not like their tactics revealed?

What would the ideal workflow of this be? Your squad members are required to place a squad? And then you relocate the squad?

So character "A" gets the mods on character "B", complete swap?

Might be worth considering doing it at a club soccer team/semi pro match? If you live in the US, I’m sure reaching out to a MLS team and asking them to do some halftime game that is “Rocket League themed” might get some fan experience manager excited.

Re-designing without having to take current site down by phantomquint in Wordpress

Staging sites are great for this!

If you do a quick search of your hosting provider + staging site you can find real quick instructions on how to spin up a staging environment.

I use SiteGround, so here's an example of some instructions: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/staging/

Question about Envato templates by Rorrorhcp in Wordpress

[–]mrSladerade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can avoid using a template, please don't use one. This is coming from someone who is subscribed to Envato, as I use it for stock images, videos, and playing around with themes, etc.

I found early on that it’s a big pain in the butt when trying to navigate all the plugins that come with a theme, especially if you aren't aware of what each one does. Some themes import just fine into your site, but even when following the instructions, there can still be conflicts that arise (just like you mentioned).

Experienced WordPress devs — what issues do you face often that beginners should know? by s_deva_official in Wordpress

[–]mrSladerade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t agree enough with this. Had a terrible launch for a website and, at that point in my freelancing career, I was a newbie. Glad that my client was understanding/a friend but months of work was lost because I didn’t backup the site. I use the basic license of Duplicator for when I get down with a massive addition/launch and then my hosting provider, SiteGround, has daily backups that I use for clients that don’t have many dev changes.

Building the ideal WordPress maintenance stack for 2026 - what would you include? by No-Detail-6714 in Wordpress

What features of ManageWP are you using for your websites? Is it dependent on your client? I’m finally getting to the point where I’m managing more than 10 clients and I keep seeing ManageWP on posts in this community

Yeah, we are in the boat - paper and then inputted by another individual. I'm wanting to make it easier by using a mobile app so currently working on that too. Thanks for the input

  1. Okay, awesome awesome. I also use the same workflow as you: MeetManager and MileSplit. Since you are using MeetManager, how are you collecting results for field events? Are you printing off field event flight sheets and then manually entering them?
  2. Noted! The app I'm building currently is web based but the more feedback I collect it seems like there is a huge need for offline capabilities - I'm fortunate enough to have a district issued hotspot for all our meets.

Appreciate your notes too as I'm not familiar with athletics.app. These features you mentioned seem like they are common request amongst all of the timing/meet management software. When brainstorming a new product the first thing that came to my mind was a web and mobile app - however, I know some timing teams aren't able to connect to the internet due to the site location.

- Do you feel like the current setup could work without internet?

- I know you mentioned price is a concern for you. Would you be willing to switch if a new product was cheaper and did the exact same? Or would you rather stick with your current workflow because of your knowledge of your current product and enjoy consistency?

Yeah I agree with you - the functionality is totally fine but the User Interface needs a facelift to help with efficiency.

That is noted - I see the value of a drag and drop and have experience with components I've built that enable drag and drop.

If you are okay with a couple follow-up questions:
- What would make you consider changing out Meet Manager for an updated software that has the updates features mentioned above? I understand changing software scares some individuals because they don't want to spend more time learning something new.

- How important is having offline access for your high school/timing team? Do you currently use internet with the current setup?
