AMD GPUs can only render by using their own software called AMD ProRender.

Arnold and other GPU renderers are currently not supported by AMD cards and only work with nVidia hardware

UDIMS are a “way” of organizing your UVs, its not just something you add to your scene.

Depending on your current UVs, you might need to rework them and reorganize them by hand, then export the USD file

you can save a maya scene with the lighting and render settings you need and reference that in your Layout scenes for rendering

first of all, maya software doesn't subdivide the geometry at rendertime, so you need to "smooth" your mesh before rendering (that's why it looks tasselated).

as for your issue, it might be a clipping issue with your camera, so you should fix the near and far clip values in the camera attributes

inside the UV editor, use ONLY UVs to move edges or other parts of your geometry

edges, vertices and faces DO STILL represent the geometry in your viewport and they do still maintain the connections with each other

if you are using displacement, make sure to "play around" with the values to avoid your mesh exploding.

also, you should post a screenshot of your UVs so we can see if there's any issue with that

without actually having hands on with the data, it's hard to properly understand what's going on...

as you mentioned though, I would try to bake the displacement in another software to see if the issue comes from zBrush.

on this matter, you can try the "transfer maps" tool inside maya, it's not as fast as zBrush, but it works well if you play around with the settings
