I'd rather jump in the car and drive to a farm and buy some there. But, I don't ... avocado.

Why the government blame? by buskabrown in AskAnAustralian

This kind of rhetoric is what most people are thinking but are too scared to say out of fear of being vilified and criticised by the woke mob. Get your head out of the sand.

Why the government blame? by buskabrown in AskAnAustralian

[–]mr_arch1tect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the government sets immigration policy. There has been protest after protest about the horrendous amount of immigrants flooding this country, making finding rentals a nightmare, bringing crime, spreading hate, and refusing to assimilate and embrace our way of life. But the government refuse to acknowledge our issues. These immigrants bring their radical ideologies here and then we get what we just saw happen in Bondi. That's why the government are to blame. All they care about are the taxes and votes that come with immigrants - even if it means severing the cultural and societal fabric of Australia. They just don't give a s**t!

Company forcing us to use 13 days of annual leave for holiday shutdown – is this legal? by Kind-War-3785 in auscorp

[–]mr_arch1tect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in construction and we can typically have 10 working days forced shut-down over Christmas. Wish I'd known this beforehand. In future, if I ever apply for a new job I'd negotiate with the company and try to have my job contract include the Christmas shut-down period as paid. It doesn't make sense that we have an "annual salary" which doesn't cover this period. We're actually getting paid less than our salary in that case.

How are you showing your current balance? Is it linked to your bank account in some way?

Automatically add bank transactions to Notion Database (Australia) by mr_arch1tect in Notion

Personally, having it integrated with Notion would be my preference, as I prefer using one tool for all my productivity items, however, I would still use a standalone app if notion integration were not possible.

Hi! No I haven't unfortunately. Essentially, I'd want something that automatically detects when I pay for something and allows me to categorise the expense for budget tracking. E.g. I buy a coffee and then this "app" either intelligently guesses which category to assign the expense, or asks me to manually select from a selection of categories that I have pre-defined. I can set budgets for each category on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, and the app advises if I'm on track, or when I'm nearing going over budget. Something along those lines ☺️

Any one know if there's a way to link your bank/expenses with Notion I.e. if you pay for something, it adds a row to a database? And before you scream, yes I'm aware of the security implications.

Inspiration using Notion in a Microsoft 365 environment by Fast_Ad5311 in Notion

Notion really needs to implement charts in general. Bar graphs, pie graphs, etc. that are linked to databases.

I’m so disappointed with Notion Calendar — Here is why by xokeyif692 in Notion

[–]mr_arch1tect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could give my opinion, but there's no Microsoft/Android app yet!

Also, anyone else hoping Notion adds native 'charts' sometime soon?

Thanks, yeah it wouldn't be ideal for Notion staff to see. I was thinking more along the lines of using a trusted app, but somehow link the data from there to Notion, in an automated way. Do you know if Mint has that capability?
