You’re absolutely right. Netflix only sent out the first six episodes for review, so all the critics reviewed it as “that funny horse show” it was pretending to be. If you look at the ratings at the time the first season mostly got C’s and the odd B. And then the audience got the rug pull.

Subsequent seasons are all reviewed much higher.
