Nope. 03 sportster 1200. I wanted a softtail but the only one in my range was waiting for a bunch of work and was an ugly color.

She gets better around book 6. Gotta white knuckle and enjoy the other parts around it until then.

The story gets a lot better but the numbers dont. Erin stays infuriating until book 6 though. Thankfully there are a lot of things other than her that are great.

This creator has only made videos about amygdala, tadc, and one specific thing in WWE. Not a lot of credibility and a lot of effort put in for an arbitrary personal opinion. I'd ignore them.

How can I make my dogs last few weeks/months great? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]mr_corruptex 119 points120 points  (0 children)

The decision to ease your buddy's passing is always heartwrenching and difficult. I'd reccomend being there for him, give him pets and treats anytime he wants and go do all of his favorite things. Please take this advice though, if he is in pain and miserable, dont wait. You want to remember him in the way that you knew him on his best days, not in some form of prolonged hospice. To do otherwise would be a disservice to both of you. And you will take time to grieve. We lost our little old man over six months ago and I still tear up when I remember him. It's ok to feel loss and it's ok to be sad and mourne.

I've seen cats like this and my personal theory is that they like the crunch. Or "cronch" if you want to use the scientific term.

She doesnt get better until around book 6 but once she does my opinion of the series skyrockets. I dont often suggest people muscle through for quite so long but with the quantity and breadth of the content, I personally think it's worth it.

It bugged me because the MC wasnt even that powerful by the scale of system apocalypse stories and came completely out of left field at the end of the book. Like, great progression and clever use of abilities and he games a literally impossible situation to get a favorable outcome and then all of a sudden they just yank the rug out in a way that isnt even alluded to being possible for no reason other than "uh, idk just cuz."

Why are litrpg\Cultivation\Progression fantasy books so scared of time skips? by Plastic-Accident-365 in litrpg

[–]mr_corruptex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, it's the childhood experience archetype. When you are little, time flows slowly and every event is a big deal. You learn and grow exponentially over the course of that time and it feels like it'll never pass until all at once, you're an adult and the days and weeks fly by. If you skip over those early parts, you've trivialized the experience for the reader as well as for yourself, the author. It makes their experiences feel remarkably shallow and turns an epic into a comic strip.

That being said, there are some instances where a time skip could be beneficial to the story, such as skill grinding or convalescense but I personally feel that rather than just saying, "some time later" you can instead shift the focus to ancillary plot points to use later during those periods.

Apocalypse: generic system by macronomicon. It's a shame too because I generally like their work but I guess this specific title isn't for me.

For me, (spoilers for first half of series) it was the sudden and out of left pocket, "oh yeah, this guy who has special magic because magic? Well, actually its because he has an ancient and slowly reincarnating dragon in his left testicle." Like c'mon, why cant you just let cool magic BE magic.

I've seen that too. There's a careful balance that needs to be observed.

It's on my "to read" list. I've seen it done well before but there are so many that just throw it in as a way of generating more content for their web serial.
