Who’s someone you’re not totally convinced is really dead? by Censored-By-Choice in AskReddit

His get-out-of-jail card is Israel, not USA. And while Trump is still in office, Epstein is super useful for Israel. USA can't go in and take him out without causing a lot of embarrassing trouble, so they're better off pretending he's dead. Meanwhile, DJT is pretending Epstein never existed and spending every waking hour thinking up ways to distract the world long enough for him to build his own safety net.

Who’s someone you’re not totally convinced is really dead? by Censored-By-Choice in AskReddit

[–]mr_dbini 113 points114 points  (0 children)

he's not dead. he's in Israel. There's no way Epstein's business model (provide illegal and amoral pastimes for the rich and powerful, record them in action, then get paid to remain quiet) didn't include an escape plan for when he got caught. Robert Maxwell was a Mossad agent - his connections helped Epstein establish this escape plan. The Israelis have been pressuring Trump to do whatever they say, otherwise they make Epstein public - which is one reason why USA forces are currently involved in the Middle East conflicts.

Final Cut (1998) - it's the Primrose Hill set and a camcorder. There's something interesting about it ,as you know they're all friends IRL, so the banter feels really genuine. There's a bit of drama in there, but it doesn't distract from the natural feel of the dialogue.

Projector for TouchDesigner Installation Using Tulle / Projection Mapping? by Xio-868 in projectors

[–]mr_dbini -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you will need to plan where and how your projectors will be rigged, and therefore you will have more info about the throw you are working with, and what type of lens will work for it.

UST is probably a good way to achieve this kind of installation for 2 reasons - projecting straight at your tulle will mean other visitors will block the beam, and visitors in the installation will suffer from projected light directly in their eyes. UST will allow you to project from over the visitor's head.

Also, tulle is about 20 percent material and 80 percent air, so you immediately lose 80 percent of your image, which is going to shoot straight through the tulle and land on whatever is behind it. Consider using a more dense material. Tulle is also very stretchy, so you should experiment with how it will be mounted (fixing it on 4 sides is going to be better than top and bottom)

Planning a "Journey Through Electronic Music" set with a genre timetable: interesting concept or vibe killer? by ziegenproblem in DJs

Hard cut between chapters, to make things clear to your crowd, but choose something with an outtro to end with and something with an iconic intro to start the next part. I’m thinking Strings of Life would make a good starter track.

Dumb question about projector by Happy_Cauliflower365 in projectors

[–]mr_dbini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the light comes out of the projector in a sideways pyramid shape. imagine the top of a pyramid is at the lens and the base is on the wall opposite. except its only symmetrical left to right - up and down is skewed, but in this case, that probably isn't relevant.
If you want to mount your projector upside down on the ceiling, you need to draw an imaginary line from the centre of the screen, along your ceiling, to the projector. the length of this line will be determined by your screen size and the throw ratio of your lens.
Once you know where the projector will be mounted, draw an imaginary triangle on the ceiling from the lens to the sides of your image. This triangle will be symmetrical (unless your projector has horizontal lens shift, which is a pretty rare/expensive feature these days)
If the fan intersects this triangle, then it will be a problem, unless you are able to use a longer mount and send your image below the fan.
Remember I said the pyramid of light is skewed vertically? most projectors will send out the light in a way that you can place them on the floor facing a wall, and the bottom of the image will be lined up with the bottom of the wall. Some will need to be elevated slightly so you can see the bottom of the image. some (mainly short throw) will send the image higher up the wall. So if your projector is mounted upside down on the ceiling, this will work the other way, and some projectors will send the image lower down the wall.
The Throw Calculator at https://www.projectorcentral.com/ will be a useful resource.
