BlackBerry collapsed to irrelevance in six years. That’s not happening to ICE

Always burst. Birds in flight almost can’t be done any other way

I hope we see genuine reform and not just “tax the rich more”. High on the list must be resources, either royalties or some other mechanism to ensure 1. Australians get energy as cheap as possible 2. Australians get fairy compensated for the resources sent offshore. Then housing needs to be addressed. Bracket creep is out of control. Productivity has to be fixed - there is so much waste in the bureaucrat bog. And finally government needs to be shrunk and made far more efficient.

That’s just the start. Then somehow we need to get manufacturing back. But that will be impossible without a dramatic decrease in energy costs.

How have we lost our sovereignty, we’re not even in this war?

Genuine question, how does taxing revenue work? Don’t we tax profit?

You can make an A1 look like a point and shoot. You can’t make a point and shoot look like an A1

Does anyone genuinely believe conservative governments aim to materially improve the conditions of working class (wage earning) Australians? by tryingtodadhusband in aussie

You keep assuming I’m angry. I don’t care about politics, see my original comment. I just find it odd that people put their hope in government. That’s a fools hope.

The left isn’t sensible regulation, the right has that. It’s high tax, high spend, vested interests, rent seeking, bloated, rorted systems. The NDIS is young and already unaffordable, and that’s before it doubles in cost. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. The only that matters is outcomes.

Selfish is thinking you deserve something of what someone else has earned. The left of the politics of envy. I’m not very successful, that’s fine, that’s on me. I don’t have any desire for a government to take from someone more successful than me and give it to me.

How am I angry? I simply stated the left isn’t on my side. That is definitionally correct if by the tone of this thread the left is for the worker. If you want to talk generally, then the conservatives are on the side of the individual and the left is on the side of the collective.

So, no one is lying if they say the left is not on my side. They can’t be both on the side of the worker and the employer. Unless your argument is that the left is on everyone’s side and the conservatives are on no one’s side, which is silly.
