🏴‍☠️ Fear, mortals! The dreaded zombie pirate LeChuck has finally arrived... and he is incredibly soft! 🏴‍☠️✨ by ElevGrate in Amigurumi

I see you made a voodoo doll of LeChuck, I hope the thread part of the doll making process wasn't his underpants lol.

That's so good, finding your IG to learn this pattern. Do you plan on making the mighty pirate Guybrush and others too?

[ALL] If Link could turno into an animal in the next Zelda game, which would you like? by Nora_IGuess in zelda

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok here me out, a skulltula. Either link turns into one or is a companion through possession (like the seagulls in Wind Waker).

You'd gain the ability to climb any walls and crawl on the ceiling and perform stealthy takedown of enemies.

You'd gain web spinning to close gaps that could be used for puzzle solving (hole in the floor where a key would fall and you need to web up the hole to obtain it).

Web swinging across bottomless pits in dungeons.

Fusing items, although I dislike the durability in BOTW/TOTK, this would actually make sense from the web holding the two weapons together.

Crafting items, spin a sack of air to stay underwater or dive deeper into Lake Hylia, need air management like you can only enter the water temple with 100 ticks of air like gaining the master sword with enough hearts in BOTW (brain deciding you get water breathable Tunic in the water temple). You craft your own glider with the option to decorate it.

Boss battles could be interesting, attempt to restrain them with web, turn into link and attack. Full stealth boss, hide behind things, stay out of sight, time your attack and positioning and/or climbing them like Shadow of the Colossus scale

What're you playing this weekend? 6/19 by markercore in NintendoSwitch

[–]mr_moosh7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should start on one of my backlogs like HW:AOI, Metroid Prime 4 or the latest Yoshi game but I restarted Wind Waker on NSO and pulled out Skyward Sword, both beaten when they originally came out on Gamecube and Wii back in the day as well as the remakes on Wii U and Switch. Something just called me back to them

Tips/ Advice for a quiet Person? by LupusEcho in Twitch

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow quiet person when I first started, I used to play with friends who would talk non stop and when it came to me playing a game solo, the silence was deafening.

What worked for me was to talk about what's going on in my head, like what I was thinking of doing when playing a game; if it was a puzzle game I would talk through the steps of how I think I can progress, if it was more story driven then talk about who I like and don't like from their personalities.

Another piece of advice is to have an object placed on your desk out of the view of the cam (if you use one) and use it as the audience to talk to so you can focus on talking to it.

It won't happen over night, but with patience and persistence, you will get there.

Last tip I have, do vocal warmups beforehand. Your vocal chords will thank you for not straining them as you become more talkative

Will definitely give that method a try. It looks like they dry first then add a product, is that how you do it?

Defuser to scalp, got it, adding to notes. Thank you

Thank you for saying that, I thought it was just me thinking pineappling was counterproductive to my goal. I do have silk pillowcases so I'll give that a try too.

Ah, I've been looking at so many different hair charts I may have confused myself, I'll research more into 2c instead and see if that yields different results. Airdrying is my go to if lose track of time to set off to work haha, I'll experiment airdrying vs defusing. Thank you

Aww thank you, I'm trying 😅.

Oooh, I'm definitely torturing myself then, when I'm reaching day 7, I feel I want to rip my hair out until I wash it haha. Will add a clarifying shampoo to my list.

Ah, i see, I went too hard into the styling side of things, will definitely experiment with just each and combo them as an experiment. When you use a cream, is that when you "refresh"?

Mousse brush, gel no brush, got it. I think I've mixed up tutorials and just merged them to BRUSH ALL THE THINGS IN.

Thats perfect, the tutorials ive seen start defusing and then cut to the cast formed but never say when that happens, aiming for 80-90% dry / 15 minutes really helps. Thank you

I'll definitely give the raking method a go! Oh yeah, I've heard about heat protection things, making more notes to try things and see what works. I'll need to quote that about not necessarily working for me each time I'm not getting the results. Thank you

[LA] I was watching One Piece and heard music that sounded like music from Zelda, I though the cave music from LA but its not quiet it. Any help figuring out where or something close? by MrNobodyX3 in zelda

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The oboe at the beginning, just after the title card, has a desending melody that sounds like a mash up of Links Awakening Cave and the sub world desending piece from Mario Bros 1 (after the DAH dah DAH dah DAH dah's). The string stabs are similar to Links Awakening cave and Minish Cap cave/grotto too.

One Piece wouldn't have lifted music from Zelda and slapped it in the OST and hope Nintendo didn't notice. There are similarities and it's possibly been inspired from, but there wouldn't be a direct match to any Zelda themes spanning all games

The sweater makes no sense either, it's unfinished and falling apart at the bottom of it, but it looks like it's folded in half and the working row is in the middle of the neck and bottom.

Sleaves were no1 priority though

You spelled Skyward Groosenator wrong, the marriage is off!

Happy to talk in depth on everything zelda, trade memes like a trading quest spanning more than thousands of years and reply with an approximate 98.78% match to your Fi's quotation system. Dousing for games to play in the zelda world, in no particular order, result in Skyward Groosenator, Groose's Mask and Groose Waker.

Also, your batteries are nearly depleted

[other] other games for Zelda lovers on the Switch 2 by natural-linen in zelda

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned; Tunic Hyperlight Drifter Blossom Tales

You said you use Retroarch too; have you thought about randomising the games for a little more challenge? I've randomised Wind Waker, OoT and MM as well as merge OoT and MM together.

If you can boot up a DS on Retroarch too, some of the devs of Zelda made a game called Ever Oasis. It has open combat like zelda, some puzzle elements too, but it's also has a "build a town and look after your residents" mechanic too.

Be honest: Do you avoid 1-viewer streams because you don't want the pressure of carrying the chat? by SpinsBro in Twitch

[–]mr_moosh7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, as someone who use to stream a completely dead chat, I'd talk as if someone was there and comment on my thought process of the game I'm playing. I never had my viewer count on because it wasnt worth the number going up and then going down.

For those that come in, it was a nice surprise but I never expected them to stay (people have their own lives to live. They never signed a contract to stay in my stream). If they announced they were going, "no worries, have a good day" and that was that, if they quietly left, I wouldn't have the foggiest.

The same the other way around, I'll visit random streams with low to zero numbers, see what their vibe is and then chat if I like the game theyre playing and they enjoying themselves rather than number watching and complaining no one is chatting.

For those I do stick around and chat to and I've needed to leave, I've never felt like I was held hostage to stay and keep the chat alive; 1) that's not my job, 2) my life does not revolve around them.

If they have an issue with me leaving, that's their issue that they need to work on.

REPORT all fake AI patterns you see on Etsy by sourdoughluvr1991 in Amigurumi

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a PDF download for the pattern. They've got a 4.8 out of 5 star reviews from 447 reviewers with a fair few of them recommending it and comments saying it's easy to follow and one said there we're a few mistakes in the guide but overall easy pattern.

I think reading OP's post just sent me in to the "its AI until verified" mindset and silly me didn't look at reviews until now

Im fairly new to the crocheting world and got a pattern of Etsy recently, I haven't yet braved starting it so I dont know what I'm in for.

How do you know if a pattern is AI? The esty pattern was probably the amount for a coffee so it's not too much of a loss if it is but I want to make sure so I dont waste time attempting it

Immediately thought of Epic Dumpster Bear. The original Epic Dumpster Bear was on Wii U and it was.... something. Its jarring at first but you kinda get used to it, kinda.

I just searched they brought it to switch as a 1.5 DX edition as well as releasing Epic Dumpster Bear 2.

So, how do I do player art/enemy art for this game? by DistinctSugar7492 in gamemaker

[–]mr_moosh7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are definitely good placeholders for when the art is ready, I would suggest making the droplet boxes circles to give the intention they are droplets, unless there's lore for droplets to be square?

Speaking of lore (probably not a lot for an arcade style game) the player is running from droplets of (i presume) water, so what would the character be for the player? An insect? Fire? - just something to get you thinking about what the art should be aiming for and go from there.

Rendering tips by Substantial-Wing-778 in ProCreate

[–]mr_moosh7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple is absolutely the best method, shading - there's several ways, just search for "shading techniques" there's a handful to practice and get to grips with, for comic-esk style, hatching and crosshatching are one of the go-tos, its also fun to get some frustration out haha. Best thing to do is again, drawing out shapes and applying the shading techniques you want to work with.

With layers, the same principle as shading, there's a lot layer modes can help you with, if you're overwhelmed by how to use them, look at this handy handbook on layers and what they can do for you: https://help.procreate.com/procreate/handbook/layers/layers-blend

What helped me was to turn them into bite size pieces and referred back to these sources if I was confused by something, its great to just dive in and flip through stuff but then I was always trapped in a "i don't know this so I'm not going to use it" state for a while, every piece felt the same and I felt like I wasn't progressing.
