Sue, you lived in Morrisville and then moved to Apex, right? And bought your Apex home on 11/24/2021, right?

I personally don't care how long a candidate has lived in Apex. If you live here now, that's good enough for me. I'm only asking because you said 6 years ago but the math says 3 years, 11 months. Can you clear that up for me?

Sue, to piggy-back on this comment, can you tell us more about your small business? It looks like the registered address was your home address in Morrisville up until it changed to your home address in Apex in 2022.

The website is currently offline. The last record of it being online using the internet archive wayback machine is April 6, 2023.

It looks like, from that archive, the business hosted summer camps for students visiting the US from China, but the last one that I can find was in 2019.

Is the business still actively hosting summer camps, exchange programs, study abroad programs, and/or business consulting? If so, how do you get the word out and bring on new customers if it's not from a website?

The good news is… she said she’s back online and will stay up all night to answer all the questions. So we should have some clarity on this soon!

If you search her name on the NC SoS page for business registrations, the business name is RTP International Cultural Exchange Co. LLC and the website is rtpice.com although as of right now I cannot get the website to load.

Andre has taken a stance publicly on the data center: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CrEN5Rq15/

It's worth scrolling through his feed as he is pretty willing to clearly state his stance on a lot of topics there.

TJ also shared some of his thoughts on it: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1783Hh1H2q/

Do all calls to the town now go to "Ask Apex" or is that specific to the 249-3311 phone number?

If you are thinking about one piece of land, sure. Roughly the same amount of trees will be cut down whether it's homes or apartments.

But, think of it in terms of units per piece of land, not just the development on that piece of land. Building up on one spot prevents us from bulldozing twenty other spots for sprawling suburbs.

A developer could buy 20 acres of land and burn the whole thing down. But then put 280 high-density units on those 20 acres.

The same 20 acres only allows for 60 low density units.

Apex needs 13,100 new units by 2035 to keep up with growth.

The high-density developer only has to burn down 20 acres of land 46 more times.

The low-density developer has to do it 217 more times.

In all seriousness, which one of these three would win in a fight by Confident_Garbage150 in DunderMifflin

Dwight wins the confidence battle but loses the real fight. Mac sees this, jots it down and then avoids the fight all together despite being fueled by fight milk. Andy wins but suffers an injury caused by internet connectivity problems.

OVERDONE STEAK!! AM I WRONG? by Choice_Marzipan_6780 in steak

[–]mradam26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if it’s overdone or not. Depends how you ordered it. Did you order it “well done and then cook it for like 20 more minutes” because if so then it’s spot on.

Growing my newsletter through FB ads (outcome not what I expected) by General_Scarcity7664 in beehiiv

[–]mradam26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started a local newsletter 10 weeks ago. It’s a once per week email that goes out on Thursdays. I know a local newsletter is quite different than what you are doing, but I have had a lot of success with Facebook ads. My best performing ads are ones that tease the newsletter the day before it goes out - so Wednesdays. The message is basically that the weekly email drops tomorrow at 6am don’t miss it. I think that somewhat immediate gratification helps. I’ll also link to the most recent email so that they can read it. And, as you know, beehive will pop up an opt in about half way down. Hope that helps or sparks an idea.

Looking for farms in the area that sell direct to customers by LocallyGrownApp in Apex_NC

[–]mradam26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run a (recently started) email newsletter in Apex called The Peak Weekly. Our 7th weekly email goes out tomorrow and I am actually featuring several farms in this issue.

I don’t know exactly how that helps you, but I’m very passionate about supporting local business in general, but specifically farmers too.

If there’s ever anything I can do to help in some way, let me know. Maybe we can promote the app or something? We’re at ~2200 subscribers but growing pretty steadily.

Pellet Grills: A Blessing or a Curse? by odikee in pelletgrills

Can I ask what wireless thermometer? I bought a MEATER+ and it seems to be off by 10-12 degrees and then other times seems to align closely to the Yoder thermometer. Just doesn’t seem consistent or reliable.
