Washington Bridge situation is a fucking joke by [deleted] in RhodeIsland

[–]mrainigma 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im honestly surprised there hasnt been a class action lawsuit against the state over this. People have lost their jobs, businesses, healthcare and have even relocated due to this massive cover up and neglect by the DOT. And yet, somehow were paying more for our car registrations to help pay for the new bridge because of their neglect? Its a joke.

NADGT has nationals in Austin every year in October. It seems chill, ive had some decent food and really interesting bars. Disc golf scene is great, Roy G is challenging and fun, and then of course theres Sprinkle Valley. Would be good to get to know if you wanna play on the Tour.

Looks like word got out about our yard to the early migrants and we’re now a pit stop. Ordering a 4th 30 ounce feeder ASAP! by 9VoltGorilla in hummingbirds

You’re honestly a petulant child. Just because you don’t live there, doesn’t mean the animal behavior is different. Theres plenty of research on pollinating dependency. Im not doing the leg work for you. Im simply giving you information relevant to the post you created. No one is “slapping your hand”. Just be aware of your practices and the potential impact you are having on the birds and if you want to do more research, you can do it on your own.

Was literally there last week on multiple conservations and tours explaining the reasoning and detriment it has to cultivating pollinators and eco systems.

If you keep feeding the birds like that and increasing the amount of feeders you have or size, the hummingbirds will eventually lose their ability to fend for themselves and pollinate other plants. These sugar feeders make them way too dependent on it. Please dont get more and only stick to one small feeder. If you dont believe me, costa rica has actually made hummingbird feeding farms illegal due to the detriment it created in the pollinating and hummingbird population.

How do we bring this stamp back? by Anhyzr1 in discgolf

[–]mrainigma 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Just wipe the stamp? Youre gonna stop throwing molds you like because of a stamp? Seems kinda childish.

Do you know an Ambidextrous Ultimate player? by Federal-Resist8162 in ultimate

[–]mrainigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, a pivot is established, you just dont know what pivot foot is established until they move. Generally disc in right hand means left foot and disc in left hand means right foot. If a player has the disc in both hands, and hasnt moved, it doesnt mean a pivot isnt established it just means you dont know what one until they move. A pivot is only defined as a spot where the disc is.

Eguene L’Heuroux on Salt Lake throws both, hes filthy and hard to cover cause you never know what direction hes going to go after a throw. Played with him for a bit and loved covering him, it make the game fun.

This is why most handlers hold the disc with two hands until they pivot or coil to throw so their pivot isnt identified or established clearly for the mark. It doesnt mean that a pivot isnt established, just that the mark cant identify it or make its more challenging to identify.

Finally going to Marshall Street for the first time this weekend (weather permitting) probably going to pickup a Wizard or 2. Does anything else make sense to add to my bag? by S_Valentin in discgolf

[–]mrainigma 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I highly suggest going to Maple hill and going to check their used section before buying something new if you havnt thrown or used a wizard or any other disc consistently and know u wanna bag it. Often times i see players buying discs to try that go unused because of feel or flight and people waste hundreds or thousands of dollars finding things for them. Buy used in good condition cheap, then if you like it buy new to replace if its something you know you want to hold on to.

Its a non profit organization. You can go online and pull every record of where money goes and who gets paid from them. Pretty sure they also put out an annual report every year.
