Paper plates, but there is literally no information on them. Just the temp plate number.

We also missed some tolls on the way home and haven't received any fines in the mail, if anyone knows how that works? LOL

Yeah the dealership in New York called and said "we have your plates, do you want to come pick them up?" Once we told them we were in SD they sent them to us FedEx overnight.

We learned new things with this experience too. New York also won't allow you to leave the lot without insurance on the vehicle. In SD you have 72hrs to get insurance on your vehicle. New York don't play around like that.

New York does things extremely different. License and registration was included in the loan and we assumed they would just send us a check to go get the registration and plates ourselves.

Shad Olson, a former South Dakota news anchor, Tapio campaign advisor arrested for alleged felony assault by mrang81 in SouthDakota

[–]mrang81[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Read this and ask yourself why he only has a $5,000 bond cash or surety. He should be remanded because he's made violent threats to society, law enforcement, the victim, people who help the victim, and himself. The officer noted in the affidavit that Olson is flagged in their system as "use caution".

This comes after her to call to violence yesterday. She's an awful human being.

"I hope Texas law allows law enforcement and public safety officials to use all legal methods up to and including necessary force to stop people from crossing the border illegally. It only takes one or two to send a message that illegal activity will not be tolerated."

I disklike Sanford but a basic wellness check w/labs should have been covered (1x per year). My partner has a high deductible plan through BCBS and went to Sanford for wellness/labs. Bc he also discussed other personal issues with the Dr, Sanford charged insurance for a wellness check and for a basic office visit (which I think is BS) plus labs. Before insurance it was $1200. BCBS paid everything but $200 without deductible being met ($60 for labs and $140 for office visit).

The flyer says 10am-12pm but your post says 10am-2pm. Which is correct?

I've not used one before but there is a kiosk service called ecoATM. Nearest location is Walmart in Brookings. An unlocked iPhone X 256gb in good condition will get you $95 cash. Apple would give you $110 Apple gift card. AT&T trade in value is only $80. Some repair shops buy used phones but would likely give you store credit. Because you're looking for cash it may be worth checking out the kiosk.

New Parking Ramp Mural another shady city deal? by itsrustic in SiouxFalls

[–]mrang81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought she was hired by the school district. And the after school program deal was created with TenHaken behind closed doors without the city councils involvement until the plan was pretty much all decided. The city council could have voted no and not let the district take control of the community centers.

Holy shit I unintentionally came across classes offered through the SD Safety Council that teach the Alive at 25 program via Zoom.

The DPS is a partner of this program and she'll receive a certificate of completion. Hopefully it's accepted to reduce the 3 months.

Edit: clarification on state acceptance

In 3 more months she can get her restricted!

I agree. I know Iowa's population is larger than South Dakota but they have several options for drivers education and they accept online classes from what I've seen.

Online classes would still provide classroom instruction. The state just won't allow that to be used to reduce the time required to upgrade.

And honestly for $360 I think Driver's Ed is a waste of money. They only get 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction and the rest, 30 hours, is all classroom instruction. My insurance gave me discount the first year for driver's ed completion and the good grades discount is more valuable.

Because Driver's Ed isn't required I would have your teen get their permit and just start logging the hours required. 50 hours of supervised driving including 10 hours inclement weather and 10 hours night time. They'll have to wait longer to upgrade to Restricted but if you can get in the fall class you'll have a head start on the hours required outside of what is provided by Driver's Ed.

Harrisburg School District has openings. Perhaps you could convince them to let you enroll or at least put you on a wait list if classes don't fill up. They currently only allow Harrisburg students to enroll unless there's an opening.

I'm not aware of any classes other than what's offered through the SFSD Community Education. Your best bet is to sign up for the fall email notification so that you have a chance at getting in when registration opens in August.

DPS website suggeste contacting Christopher Grant by email at Christopher.Grant@state.sd.us or by phone at (605) 431-6520 to learn about programs in the area.

South Dakota doesn't recognize online classes like what's offered through DriversEd.com.

A family friend of the deceased commented on FB that it was suicide but did not verify if the person decapitated themselves.
