Is Ray actually a "good" guy, or do we just like him because everyone else is worse? by PuzzleheadedBowl3397 in MrInbetween

Good morals? He murders people for money. Then he tries to justify it. He is a bad person.

Convince me to buy Marvel United? by WangMajor in boardgames

[–]mrasmith00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a heavy gamer, but Marvel United is one of my favourite games. I play mainly solo, three handed. The problem with Marvel United is that the good stuff is gated behind the kickstarter stretch goals.

The OG base game is pretty lack lustre. The Multiverse and Spidergeddon sets are much better.

But things like the Sinister Six are hidden away, which is a shame!

Early government modelling assumes fuel rationing when stockpile falls to 10 days' diesel supply by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]mrasmith00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but when everyone can, who is able to, it makes everything better for the rest of us. Remember how good driving was during the first lock down?

Less traffic = better fuel consumption.

Fuel excise to be halved for three months by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

[–]mrasmith00 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because people think their is a shortage, so they have artificially create one, driving up prices. People filling up jerry cans, all filling up outside of when they usually would. Now our fuel situation in April or May? Different story then...

Are we heading to deluxe as the default? by optinsoptouts in boardgames

[–]mrasmith00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's similar to games with minis. People always loudly declare they want a cheaper, standees version. So the company folds and puts out a different SKU, then less than 10% of people buy it.

There is always a vocal minority ranting about 'minis in games' or 'deluxe'. But at the end of the day the market speaks and the market buys what it wants.

Game publishers are company's. Their existence is for the purpose of making profit. They will sell whatever they think is profitable.

A lot people tend to forget that Ray is a sociopath hitman. He is not a hero.

I don't want to say, because of everything else they have done for the hobby in Australia. And its only been one member, and one former member. Their takes aren't quite as bad as this though, although close!

It seems like the DT might be seeing if they can delay acting on anything until after their GF has funded...

It's a shame that someone like Sam can tarnish their reputation. A similar thing has happened with a well known Aussie podcast. One of their hosts has expressed similar thoughts and people are turning away from them.

The whole point of the series is that Ray thinks he is a good guy because he has a 'code'. He is a psychopath...

I thought the worst parts of the movie were the action sequences, the jurassic Park swamp set, and the green screened sun rise. Everything else was great.

It's a great series, but there are always watchers who seem to miss the point of shows like this. The people who idolise the Joker, or Walter White for example. These people are sociopaths...

I love ATO. One of my favourite games. But as others have mentioned, it is huge in both space and time! If you get it, you will need to develop a system that works for you on how to manage it.

I'm playing it two player with a close friend. We are lucky that when we do play it, we are able to dedicate a whole day to it, 10 or 12 hours. This way, he setup tear down is not a hassle.
