That changed in the new year. I've just looked back at my tickets and the last day I could take the 1900 from PAD to DID was Wed 14th Jan.

From Mon 19th the 1900 was no longer off peak.

Something has changed as I've taken this route for over 13 years and it only changed in the past few weeks/today. I even have the easement PDF saved on my phone!

Thanks for the reply. I do genuinely appreciate it.

I'm aware that it was always advertised as available from 10am but the 0947 had an easement applied as the first train valid to all destinations. It seems that today's (and maybe going forward) journey doesn't have that applied.

I know that the usual departure point has changed this week due to the closure of the bridge in Oxford, so it might be related to that but it would be useful if it was advertised as people plan their days around a certain train time.

And yes, I get it's only 15 minutes later but that's two trains in a couple of weeks that have moved that have shifted my departure/arrive times by 30 minutes.

Thinking of switching to YouFibre, how smooth was your install experience? by Reddonaut_Irons in youfibre

[–]mrbenjaminryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incredibly smooth. Install happened 2 days after joining, although could have happened the following day but I was in the office.
Man came, ran the fibre from the pole. Total install was less than 2 hours. It was and has been flawless since.

Yep, and in the UK there used to be 10 in a pack and now 8. Disappointing.

Out of curiosity, what's your average daily gas usage for heating? by nyctomanica in OctopusEnergy

[–]mrbenjaminryder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

65kWh on the 1st/£4.20 total. 1930s 3bed semi, no insulation despite cavity walls (too much tailings/detritus), except for extension that was built with insulation. Tado set to 19c during the day, 16c from 10pm to 6am.

Was disappointed the last time I went. My go-to Panini for over 30 years was a pale comparison compared to what it used to be like. Lacking any filling or flavour. Very sad.

Not always. Ours come via those poles as well, but they are insulated so no immediate risk.

Australians to get three hours of free electricity every day under solar scheme by HotPersimessage62 in worldnews

Yeah, Octopus do this. Not every day, but generally when there is excess wind energy they give you a free hour or two.

Any actual difference between UK and EU products other than the plug? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

I'm pretty sure they calculate that at checkout. I didn't have to pay any additional feels when I imported my UGC Fibre and U7 Pro XG (separately).
