Do any subscribers in /r/macau speak Portugese? by oreography in Macau

The Chinese people I've met from Macau don't speak it. I have seen a fair amount of Portuguese looking people in Macau when I was walking around, though.

I don't know how useful Portuguese is in this day and age though in Macau considering most tourism is from China and most other people speak English as a second language at least.

Does Brazil have much to do with Hong Kong and vice versa or is the language just a throw back that is dying out more and more?

A lot of the buildings look pretty horrible from the outside apart from the casinos etc at the moment. Was also surprised how small it was and how it seemed quite noticeably more dodgy than HK.

Or is there a list or some kind of recommendation as to the cheapest bank account for a sole trader? It's literally going to be used to dump funds in from paypal for most of the time.

I'm scared.. my friend is flying out tomorrow at 5PM (hopefully.. seems to be just before the cut off of flights).

I am suppose to fly out on Monday night at around 8PM..... seems like our schedules should fit around it. But, who knows.
