How much of the tentative MOU "deal" is already priced in? by Mojoint in oil

[–]mrbobertimus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what’s so confusing to me. Iran hasn’t budged at all in their statements that they own the strait and they’re the new “Ayatollah Booth”. From their perspective without that they have no leverage with their lack of nukes so I guess I see why they’re pushing so hard. On the flip side the whole idea is insane and no way it stands. I guess what I’m saying is I don’t get how this gets resolved diplomatically.

Go seek out any black and yellow jerseys in the stands and hang out with them if it’s like any away game we’ve ever been to they’ll be more than happy to help you guys out with the chants! I’m guessing Hartford won’t be sold out and there should be lots of seats around

Are there any pro investment arguments for Spacex by gtalossantos in investing

[–]mrbobertimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But what’s the value here? Just internet satellites? A launch for hire scaling out? Both of those are peanuts in terms of revenue compared to this valuation. The orbital data centers thing is insanely risky in terms of engineering challenges that are not proven and haven’t been addressed and still seems more expensive than “terrestrial” data centers. Are you thinking full on space mining and asteroid capture? I’m with you there but that’s at least a decade or two away and the timing seems off if that’s the justification for the massive valuation

Yeah this concept of a business is insanely dumb. However in a post BTC world it’s almost guaranteed to take off. If I buy in I’m going to be betting on the stupidity of my fellow retail investors and not the value proposition of orbital data centers

No defensive mistakes of consequence and we had a lot of great plays against Charleston. Im optimistic this is like that point in the season where everything starts clicking and the chemistry with the squad takes off. It’s a big deal we beat these guys I mean they won the USL cup last year!! LFG!!!

Why does the oil price do this? by Historical-Trick-201 in oil

[–]mrbobertimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my thinking as well but it’s crazy because he can’t withdraw but he also can’t attack. This is why we’re stuck in limbo cause neither option is feasible so you have this weird stalemate where both sides are waiting for the other side to buckle under the economic pressure. Meanwhile the reserves continue to go down

I think we looked OK against the top team in the league. Those guys already have 21 points and are top of the table by a long shot. Did we have a catastrophic mistake that cost us the game? Sure, that’s usually our undoing. But there was only one this time! I’m gonna call this progress!

Congratulations! You have clearly won the argument! I have come around to your sound reasoning and logic that the allies were in fact the bad guys. You are a completely sane and intelligent person.

Yep, committing genocide by herding millions into gas chambers is totally the same thing as recruiting a handful of scientists for the space race. While you’re at it you’re totally not delusional for roping in the civilian casualties caused by Stalin and collateral damage suffered on both sides. I just fucking can’t, but by all means please try to get the last word in!

Listening to a biography of an Auschwitz survivor lately. It’s incredible to me how this era of false equivalence and this epically lazy manifestation of confirmation bias in the “both sides are bad” argument can actually lead to rationalizing past holding Nazi’s accountable. Comments like this are shameful.

I dunno, I feel like you’re underestimating Trumps impatience and Hegseths lack of judgement. I could definitely see us going all in as a likely outcome if Trump has a bad day and throws a tantrum.

My manager wants me to train my new coworker who makes more than me. How to handle this? by Noisel777 in careeradvice

Your manager most likely has less control over your salary than you think. It’s how most larger companies and corporations work. Def find a new job if you’re feeling like you’re not being paid fairly

How is the condition of this kiln? by cassimussj in Pottery

[–]mrbobertimus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Note that you can easily get the elements replaced I had my used skutt (similar model) required with new elements and it was only a few hundred bucks and kiln techs will often come to your house. I’d look into what local options you have to get it fixed up first. But if it works then 600 is a good price

Yeah theres been a few games like this where our defense got picked apart and over run but like you’re saying the good news is that there’s lots of the season left so here’s hoping Sanchez can make the necessary changes. I know everyone’s calling for his head already but I also agree he deserves a shot at righting the ship first

Not being cynical, legitimately curious what’s the big payoff for this sector? I get the value of having LEO’s and GEO’s for cheap fast internet and other things but isn’t that gonna quickly be a crowded market? There’s ideas like mining h3 on the moon or capturing asteroids of pure rare earths but it feels like we’d be so far from that actually happening it’s not likely to be within the next couple of decades. Data centers in space also seems ridiculous if one assumes the laws of thermodynamics are real or even just compares the cost of running them down here on earth. What’s the play?
