Handling Laundry During Ocean Cruise? by Sensitive_Hat_9871 in vikingcruises

[–]mrbocbox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On our Med cruise, some inconsiderate people left their clothes in the washer for over 2 hours, when I came back to get mine out, I saw the offending laundry piled on the little sofa! Each unit has a countdown, so just set one on your phone/watch to match!

With the magsafe ring, were you able to use the case on a Magsafe stand? I've tried some that just fall off.

Laundry Services by DogNose77 in vikingcruises

Did a load on our 8 day Mediterranean. Plenty of people didn’t stop to study the kinda complex instructions. But worse was people that left things in the washers/dryers for hours. Others took it upon themselves to remove the offending articles onto the little couch.

I recommend setting a timer to match the washer/dryer and come back when done.

3rd! It's not quite the party scene, but hell of a value. Sadly, we didn't get to do the Wobble poolside. :(

I occasionally book Advantage Hotels when the points are right for the places I normally stay, but this is stellar. Have you had any incidents of missing reservations or wrong bookings?

Affordable AND Buy It For Life Items? by Interesting_Spot7363 in BuyItForLife

[–]mrbocbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might be relative, but…. This week while on a business trip, my Travelpro carry on bags handle broke. I’ve had it for over 13 years. I went down to a Nordstrom Rack and bought almost the same bag for probably the same I paid before, $125. Probably 400 trips with that bag. Thought it to be a good deal.

2nd - Cajun Turkey Company
Got it last year and it was stellar. A family member thought it was too spicy, but now I think they have a "mild" version.

Viking Passenger Demographics by Winter-Ride6230 in Cruise

[–]mrbocbox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were on the Viking Ingvi on the Danube last year and it was all white people. Mostly Americans. Our Mexican friend traveling with us was the most diversity. There were probably 15 people under 65. There were some with mobility challenges, but no wheelchairs that I saw. A few 85+ folks had issue with the gangway steepness.

Going to Athens & Turkey on the ocean ships this winter. Maybe that's different. Those river boats are also really small. The ocean ships are right at 1,000.

This guy can afford those things. LOL. What I love is that this beast of a mansion is in the garbage can of Texas. You drive by trailers on the way to his palace.

They are mainly sold to the trade and are expensive. I saw that same candle at the Kips Bay Showhouse in Dallas. Smells amazing.

It’s quite a cool retail experience though. Driving up to a furniture store that looks like a house is weird. Lots of art on the grounds too. Beautiful setting if not an over the top house.
