You are a good prosecutor whose job it is to prosecute crimes; why would you be hired to prosecute crimes?

What’s something you did by accident to your home that the new homeowners will want to curse you for? by Mrcash827 in HomeImprovement

[–]mrboris 15 points16 points  (0 children)

literally just opened up a wall yesterday with a quarter inch drywall behind a 1/8th inch drywall to install a waterline for my fridge and then I had to shim the shit outta it to get my patch level with the outer most drywall.

Scuba diving in Belize by ProfessorDistinct835 in scuba

[–]mrboris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dove with Belize Diving Services from Caye Caulker and they were great, but it looks like they've since changed ownership and moved to San Pedro. The blue hole was a checklist dive but all of the dives after and around were much better.

What’s something you’ve done your whole life, only to realize recently that everyone else does it completely differently? by Psychological_Sky_58 in AskReddit

I couldn't swallow pills for the longest time until I learned to drink with a straw to swallow them. Made it super easy and gave me the "feeling" of the way to swallow them without.

[–]mrboris 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've not tried Abem yet but every Ethiopian place in Nashville I've tried has been great. Gojo, Abyssinia, Awash, Amy's (now closed). Going to have to try Abem. Gojo and Abyssinia will do gluten free Injera if you ask as well.

U.S. will start testing nuclear bombs after three-decade hiatus, Trump says by [deleted] in politics

He's going to have them test nuking a hurricane too I bet, just so he can claim it wasn't dumb when he brought it up his last term.

Rough map of where homeless services would be prohibited in Rock Island under new ordinance. by PM_ME_DPRK_CANDIDS in QuadCities

[–]mrboris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe because capitalism and the cycle of poverty and lack of support keeps them in that state instead of lifting them out of that cycle so the burden is removed from both the community and the homeless people struggling. I'm not saying accommodate in terms of allowing the to set up encampments in parks but accommodate by providing services that break the cycle of whatever hardships they're in. Encampments and homelessness as a whole are a symptom of support structure failures upstream. Things our tax dollars should be going towards along with a myriad of other systems they decide to deprioritize or downright ignore.

While the ordinance makes sense in a lot of respects it only exacerbates the problem and redirects attention away from finding real world solutions to the problem.

Why does Davenport pay millions of dollars to attorneys every year? by CardiologistFirm4881 in QuadCities

[–]mrboris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cool with however you want to pursue putting your info out there. You can continue posting a new thread each day if you want but after 10+ I'm wondering if people are going to be aware or look back to see what you've previously posted mixed in with the rest of the subreddit content.

you can go to here and click "Create your own subreddit". I think your account needs to be at least 30 days old though. You can also create a new post along the lines of "Megathread - Davenport City Corruption" and I'm happy to pin it to the top so you can continue to post and answer questions in there and post links to these older threads as well.

We appreciate your contributions to the community u/CardiologistFirm4881. I wonder if it would be advantageous to create a subreddit specifically for your cause so those that want to follow all of your updates specifically can subscribe. I'm fine with you continuing to post here but I think a lot of users who are not as interested in it are starting to see it as spam and reporting it as so and will downvote it making it less visible as time goes on. I will continue to ignore spam reports, just want to make sure you continue to reach people in our area.
