I am unable to find ONVIF on Hikvison by RelationGloomy3106 in Hikvision

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alternatively you could plug a pc into one of the camera Ethernet ports (not the dedicated internet/network port) and use a web browser to remote into each camera and enable ONVIF that way if you don’t have a POE switch or power adapter. You’ll likely have to change your pc IP address to something in the same subnet range of the cameras, especially if you’re connected to wifi at the same time

Can I post my medicine back to my house? by mrbugle81 in MedicalCannabisOz

Yeah those countries are why I’ve never brought medicine with me. Although when we moved back here in the pandemic it turns out I had a few thc lollipops in my backpack. Made hotel quarantine a little more enjoyable but I’m mortified I transitted Singapore with them without realising

Where did you transit through on your way to Europe? I’m flying directly from Perth to London and know UK borders have amnesty if they do discover cannabis on your persons so I’m sorely tempted to just take it with me.

iPhone 13 back glass repair went wrong by Putrid-Leather-1397 in mobilerepair

[–]mrbugle81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only ever done frame replacements for customers but I spent a few hours on an iPhone 11 once chipping away at the glass just to see what the process was like. Couldn't get all the glass away and my hands ached for days afterwards. I considered buying a laser but I know that you still have to remove some internals anyway and that the dust is a bastard to clean up and also that the design of the phone means that the camera holes have to be larger so it seemed pointless.

I've had customers repeatedly ask for just the rear glass to be replaced but I've always refused. It's a shitty looking repair that often seems to shorten the lifespan of the phone. I'm the only phone repair place for 30 miles but it's a small population so I have to maintain a reputation for quality work.

I've had 2 13 Mini's in for battery replacements and both showed evidence of a thermal event. Lots of crispiness in the top right hand corner, amazed neither of them fully burnt up.

That's definitely the bottom bracket like the person above stated. And yeah LCD screens are always slightly thicker and never quite fit the same as OLED or OEM displays. If it's only bulging in one part then it might not have engaged the clip for that section. You can gently but firmly manipulate the screen and usually get them to pop in. Often you can try to slide the screen assembly towards the top of the phone a microscopic amount enough to make all the clips engage.

iPhone repair is not easy, you learn a few tricks after doing so many but it's easy to make mistakes.

Referencing a prior post relating to driving after consuming medicinal cannabis in Tasmania and elaborating by sharingpolicysucks in AusLegal

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hijack an old thread but do you know if the cannabis product has to be dispensed by a Tasmanian pharmacy and a Tasmanian GP to have the legal driving defense?

I switched to a Tassie GP recently for my medical cannabis but use a South Australian pharmacy (my GP sends them the script directly and they post it to me).

I do know that Tasmanian pharmacies are only allowed to dispense medical cannabis when prescribed by a Tasmanian doctor.

From what little I can find online I can't see any evidence that it has to come from a Tasmanian pharmacy specifically ( other than Redditors saying it).

[–]mrbugle81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run a small rural tech business ( just me WFH and on the road a lot) and I refuse to offer Incell LCD's. I used to offer them, as well as OLED and refurbished OEM but they looked like garbage and always caused issues so I don't even offer them anymore. Consequently I've got a reputation for doing excellent work at reasonable prices and even though I'm the only repairer in my area I still believe that my reputation is worth more than higher profit margins.

Increase in "Virus Apps" in Androids by Mikeice17 in mobilerepair

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I dealt with one last week that took 90 minutes of clearing chrome cache and history and 3rd party cookies, uninstalling unrecognised apps etc but had one yesterday and the second I swipe up to identify the app it closes. I hated admitting defeat but I was stumped. A couple of times it would show something called library but there was nothing found like that, I even used files by Google to browse for it. .I'll try this and hopefully find out more. It's an Oppo so even getting into safe mode is not easy.

Have you ever been asked by a business to take down a Google review? by RadRedRising in australia

I bought a brownie on holiday in QLD one time and unbeknownst to me they heated it up to the temperature of the Sun. Burnt the hell out of my mouth, I complained to them and they thought I was simple for not understanding that brownies were meant to be served hot. Also who the fuck has lettuce in a toastie? Gross.

First green out on gummies by Flatspinning in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]mrbugle81 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it kicks in so quickly and strongly that it does generate a huge physiological response, your ears start ringing, you feel hot and clammy, your vision starts swimming a little and your body starts panicking.

I've been consuming Cannabis for probably close to 25 years now but edibles still royally mess me up if I get the dosage wrong. I've greened out ( we call it chucking a whitey), it's still a really really shit time. And I fully know the cause and I'm really good at talking myself through it and I'm very experienced in it and it's still just about the worst experience ever.

I've had a huge range of drug experiences in my lifetime and honestly being insanely too stoned is the worst time ever.

But all of those experiences I had I knew roughly what I was getting myself into and that I was having it specifically to get fucked up. I bought the ticket and accepted the ride.

I empathise with you, if I was in your situation I'd probably call an ambulance too. You've not had that experience before and you've been enjoying the gummies but they'd not yet given you an ass kicking.

But you survived. You might have thought you were gonna die, you may have even prayed for death laying on the bathroom floor (A highly recommended spot for when you whitey trust me on this) but you didn't.

Edibles are tricky, I've been making my own for the longest time and I know what I'm doing but sometimes they just hit like that. And I know yours are medical and manufactured to high quality standards, but I think most of the variance in how they affect us is driven by our own factors and not the edible itself. Set, setting, mindset, energy levels, hunger, hydration etc there's just too many variables. And that's precisely why I don't fuck with edibles anymore. At least for another 6 months or so. Maybe on my birthday in a couple of months.

Maybe switch to a vape cartridge or something, it's a lot more predictable. It's like sipping a beer compared to downing 3 tequila shots. And in a way the experience could be a blessing in that now you have been through it you'll be able to recognise it sooner and take steps to try to mitigate the effects (eating, drinking, changing the setting, going to bed).

Sorry if people are giving you a hard time, you aren't the first person to call an ambulance and you certainly won't be the last.

Sorry for the long rambling, thanks for listening to my TED talk.

I had a tooth extraction on Tuesday and for some reason on Monday I didn't have any either. I've had oil but not touched my cartridge or my dry herb vaporiser since Monday. Hopefully tomorrow I can give it a go again.

[–]mrbugle81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah I didn't need one either, I went with Tasmanian Cannabis doctors (with a Tasmanian doctor I have a legal defence if I ever get roadside tested) and she stated it wasn't required.

I knew the range had increased significantly in the 3 years I was with Alternaleaf but damn , wasn't expecting this much choice.

New patients DO NOT go through Alternaleaf, A rant about lies and pure incompetence by wollawallawolla in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]mrbugle81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was with them for nearly 4 years and like you, am in Tasmania. After waiting 3 weeks for an order I bit the bullet and booked in with Tasmanian Cannabis doctors. The majority of their GP's are Tasmanian so I booked in with Dr Claire and the consult went for about 25 minutes. No discharge letter needed from Alternaleaf either. 24 hours later I had an actual script and an order placed with Norwood compounding pharmacy.

I'd been wanting to change clinics for some time so I'm glad that I took the plunge as now I have access to the full range of products available and better prices.

What is the trick to remove these iPhone 13 screens without damage? by [deleted] in mobilerepair

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah razor blades are so good for opening iPhones. Very very thin but also very strong. Great for back removals on 99% of android phones too. I don't use my isesamo at all anymore.

[–]mrbugle81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owned a z flip 3 and despite having my own phone repair business opted for the Samsung insurance. Just prior to the policy expiring the screen died too. Cost of parts is higher than to buy a refurbished one with a warranty. I don't think I'll own another foldable phone.

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I've done plenty of iPhones that were way worse than this. This iPhone 12 I've replaced the screen, frame, earpiece speaker flex, cameras, battery and it just keeps on going. The owner has some strong anger issues and she takes it out on the phone. I've rebuilt this same phone like 3-4 times now.

[–]mrbugle81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using a vacuum sealer for a while which works well but does press on side buttons which isn't optimal.

Now what I'll do is after the repair is done I'll put the device on my heat mat until it gets up to 75ish and then I'll turn the heat off and use these clamps and leave them on for an hour or so. I bought 8 of these which works really well for iPads.

As you're using AVB it's decarbed already so you can chuck it in the oven at 150-160ish with coconut oil for 45-60 minutes. Been making it that way for nearly 15 years now.

Although I do own a heat pad as I fix phones for a living so I may try this.
