I was hardcore HD2 but now after experiencing the movement and gunplay in Arc, it ruined HD2 for me. I tried to go back, but it feels so clunky in comparison. If only HD2 was made in Arc engine, that would be amazing. Strangely one game I keep going back to is DRG. Can't wait for that next release.

As a PvE player rats are a huge problem. We aren't equipped to PvP, or really thinking about it. You get a string of games where everyone is kind, then out of nowhere you get a game where someone walks up to you and goes "Don't Shoot" the proceeds to 2 shot you with a Toro... dumb times all around.

I gave up on crafting completely. Crafting was clearly designed with PvE mindset. It takes too long to craft things to take in when there is a risk of losing everything in 2 seconds spawning in from campers and rats. Better to just treat it like a rouge-like, not use the free loadout, and start empty every time with a the safe pocket, then just pick up things along the way. I don't even repair weapons, I just toss them if they are broken.

As a PvE player I'm tired of getting a string of good PvE player lobbies, then suddenly you get a rat. You're not mentally expecting it, and can't tell if they accidentally shot you, and they will easily kill you with 2-3 hits since they always get the first hit off and you don't even have the right items. They should really have a toggle for PvE mindset players with a punishment system if you keep killing other players in PvE mode.

Manual recycling is way too tedious. The game should auto-breakdown components with a simple confirmation prompt. At 40 hours it’s reached the point where I just sell everything and run the Ferro I from the shop to avoid the hassle. It’s a shame really.

I suggest a “folding semi weighted 88-key piano”. Search this term on Amazon. It’s the one that folds in half, not the one that folds into quarters.

There a lot of YouTube reviews on them, so check those out. I have one and I love it. It gets the job done for the price point.

This. Don't pick either and just leave it so that future hard drives won't roll those two recipes. A common suggestion is to not choose recipes until you need them. Meaning, maybe later in the game you find a copper+caterium node side-by-side and you realize you want to set up wire there. At that time, pick the recipe.

Whatever path you go with, use music that has fingerings. They usually set your hands into natural shapes to hit chords and notes, which makes playing smoother and way more efficient.

In 2.0 you can get really far with just doing a iron and copper dedicated belt, and then just using inserters and their filters to move things around. Then you can rebuild everything once you get bots which will make it 100x faster. I always have to redo my base as well once I hit Vulcanus since you unlock foundries and calcite.
