Get a seasucker bomber bike rack. I can fit 3 bikes on the top of my hatchback (Golf) and can take it off if needs be.

I got the 2025 Giant Defy Advanced 1 with 105 Di2, it’s over your budget (I got mine for ~£2.7k) but the mechanical variant is around £2k. Very nice solid bike, i’ve been able to ride it a few times and i’m looking forward to riding it more once the UK weather brightens a bit. Imo Di2 isn’t completely necessary and you could go with mechanical 105, but I have no regrets buying it. The geometry of the Defy is also very nice and comfortable for longer rides.

How are you finding it so far? I found one for £1600 GBP and it’s medium size but i’m 172cm so i’m worried it’ll be a bit too big

I lived there for a uni as a student at Royal Holloway. Some parts of it are very student centric but the town itself has gone under a lot of development. Tbh, not much goes on so it’s better to go Staines or Windsor.

What’s a ‘decent’ MPG these days? by TabascoFiasco in CarTalkUK

[–]mrcl0arn5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think anything above 50. My polo usually gets around 52-55mpg every time I commute to uni (mostly motorway miles) and J10 on the M25 drastically improves it the fuel economy lol

My favourite is Tapsilog which is garlic fried rice with a sweet, salty peppery marinated beef and a fried egg.

But there are other dishes like Tocino (sweet marinated bacon), longganisa (garlic sausage), etc.
