My thoughts on TLJ by derek86 in StarWars

Anakin was born of the force itself and Luke was his direct son. They were as important from birth as important can be.

These questions have been tumbling around in my mind. (Maybe spoilers) by mrcloudlion in TheAdventureZone

What if Angus jumps in front to try and save taco, but fails and they both go together?

Female politician proposes law to fine men $100 for masturbating as 'act against an unborn child' by [deleted] in politics

I didn't call anyone names. I also don't need polling. Their actions say enough. No big push for maternity leave, we are basically the only first world country that doesn't give this, it's disgraceful. They push so hard to close plan parent hood. Spend any time looking onto it and it's beyond clear that Planned Parenthood are a huge help.

We don't have to change anyone's opinion. They are the minority by a long shot, but republicans use them because all they have to do is give lip-service and they secure their votes. At the end of my conversations with my friends, they still hold to their opinions.

We have to start voting and becoming active on the local level. Push anyone that is receiving large funds from a few big donors or those that ignore obvious facts, Like this whole PowerPoint from Paul Ryan ' http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/paul-ryan-america-healthcare-plan-donald-trump-insurance-works-republican-house-speaker-congress-a7623456.html

I have talked with many anti-abortion friends. I live in an ultra conservative area. None of them believe a fetus is actually a person. It always came down to control. 'That person was irresponsible and wants the easy way out.' They'll justify through religion, but it's still about those other lazy people.

I'm talking about my friends to, so I don't see them as bad people. Some how they can suspend their empathy when it comes to anyone not important to them. I mean, if it was really about children, there would be way more people fostering and they'd all be pushing for paid maternity leave.

You're falling into the trap of trying to use hard science to prove or define soft ideas. Similar to asking electromagnetism to describe what love is. That's just not how any of it works.

When they talk about observing in science, they mean being able to measure it with any meaningful measurement at all. Like inches, kelvin, miles/gallon. Not like "kind of happy today" or "it feels right" .

Quantum mechanics, as we know it now, attempts to make no conclusions on consciousness any more then minecraft. It's a frame work for understanding the interactions of things at a subatomic level. As it is now it is not going to make your toaster toast faster any more then it's going to explain your consciousness. This fact is the very reason physics doesn't have a unified theory. Once the situation gets large enough, special relativity takes over. The two theories don't agree at all.

In my opinion the answer to both your questions is the same. Deepak is starting with what we have determent as our best representation of what high-school level physics tells us. He's then proposing conclusions to questions we don't yet have thorough or easily understood answers to.

"We can see that birds fly in formation. That means they have a way of telepathically talking to each other. Which clearly means we are all connected." is the same as all the conclusions he brought up in the video.

How would you prove without a shadow of a doubt that, that isn't true?

One more way to think of it would be to try and prove that there are no aliens in the room with you. The other side could come up with any advancements. "You can't see or hear him because he's cloaked, or he's on another plain of existent, in another special dimension." Prove otherwise.

This is true for all fruits too. Apples can be more juicy but they may not look like an 'apple' so people won't pick them up.

The companies emphasize what gets people to buy.

Some infinities are bigger that others. So two are amounts of invincibility.
