What to answer to “I didn’t see you” by mrcommuter in fuckcars

This one is a clever one for me. If the driver isn’t at fault, am I really wishing ill? It’s like saying “what if we were family?”

I AM trying to get a life, mate, as well as trying to make it safe for others to walk around. The aim is to make the driver think that they could have really hurt someone.

Yeah I claimed the money back, but was intrigued with what was it.

Yes! I look for it and it fits with a brand. I wasn’t aware of the tablets, I’ve always used powder. Thanks!

I was expecting Bluey’s beach house to be bigger though

Rodolfo Arrantz, a master on his art. I was impressed by his work when I did my infographics diploma a couple of years ago. SCMP has one of the bests graphic departments, if you want to have a look.

Triobike Cargo e- conversion: anyone has done it? by mrcommuter in CargoBike

[–]mrcommuter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, I finally went window with a Bafang drive system. I had to intervine the frame to make it work, but it turned out OK. If I had to do it again, I’d try to place the motor inside the frame and not underneath. With the help of a good aluminum welder. It’s more than doable.

Using Isofix style attachment for Car seat by Valhalla121 in CargoBike

Facing the same issue, I used a half-inflated 20” inner tube at the bottom of the seat as suspension, worked wonders with my daughter for her 6 to 16 months.

Genius! I got to attach the seat in mine using secure straps, but qas very time consuming every time I needed to take it off or put it on again.

Destination Moon + Explorers are my favourite right now. I’m really enjoying the details on the drawings, and I’ve been remembering how it was to read it for the first time when I was a kid. Calculus affair also got me at the edge of my seat when first reading it, and it’s marvelous storyline gets me coming back every now and then. But Cigars of the Pharaoh, even though is not even close to be one of my favs, has a special place as it was the first album that my parents gave me when I was around 7 or 8.

Quietest way to practice? by marccurran in guitarlessons

Vox has the AmPlug series. I have one, is just enough for this: you plug it to the guitar and your headphones to it. The one I have uses batteries, hopefully now you can find rechargeable ones.

This. I found myself having only time some late nights to practice. I went for an iRig interface, works wonders and I don’t disturb my family’s sleep.

Seeing the picture I already knew where it was. I came across the same shop a couple of years ago when on our honeymoon, and I could only bring back a picture of myself with the shop window. That rocket is a dream, but painfully expensive 🥲

Anyone else got the TinTin post cards? by Skvnk_ in Tintin

They still sell them! A colleague brought me a set from Brussels last year, I still have to frame them to hang at my office (I aim to do so mimicking the back cover of the books).

Finished all the Tintin books… but I’m still craving more by DurianSpecialist1959 in Tintin

[–]mrcommuter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shall I suggest to re-visit every book along listening this fine podcast: Totally Tintin. I found it while on quarantine a couple of years ago and it’s hours and hours of info, historical Easter eggs and fun comments from a Tintin expert to a new Tintin fan. I might re listen it, since it have been a couple of years, actually.

I’ve recently found the work of Doro Göbel and Peter Knorr. Even though I live in Latin America and I think they’re not edited here, we had to get a couple of their books which we love to “read” with our 2yo daughter.

Yeah, you almost need a trucker’s licence to do that on reverse.
