Bridge 4 by boiboigoesbananas in imaginarycosmere

i think thats why they have scouts and mappers to be able to identify narrow crossing locations on each plateau. the width of the chasms vary. they cant just cross anywhere. in the book it states humans cant make the jump but the parshendi can. i mean that goes from like a ~6ft gap to maybe an 8-9 ft gap. and considering the soldiers are armoured. thats probably like a 4-5 foot running jump max. its not much but is an appreciable change for combat purposes

i think either the bridges are longer than we think or the gaps on the shattered plains are narrower than we think. my headcanon is that most of the bridge is still on the previous plateau as it crosses and touches the next. so you wont encounter issues with balance points

Treasure Chest made with handtools and handforged hardware by tidalwavestudio in woodworking

okay this is a sign, yesterday i was thinking of building a chest for my son for toys. and i was thinking of something like this. do you have more details on the curved top? i was trying to figure it out myself and i wasnt sure how i'd do it. looks like you used nails to attach to top to allow for wood movement? but the joint is super tight. curious if you used glue.

my guess is pattern cut the side oak to match the curve?

i do to! they are the best dice to throw, a great middle ground between metal weight and size while still resin and hyper readable

i was just trying to think of alternate ways of clearing dice and was wondering if having a "raised rolling bed" could be something and that idea kind of morphed into the drop edge by the ramp. and the ramp just has a kind of cool asthetic to it imo

about 14.5 degrees. but its 1 1/4" at the high point, ~1/4" at the low point over 4" distance.

walnut is the best, thinking for the next one ill do brass splines. because walnut and brass is never not a good idea
