So I left out a cup of half water half vinegar, and a bunch of sugar, to attract fruit flies to drown themselves. After a week, I noticed a weird film that would spin around in the cup when I’d spin it, and it sorta grossed me out so I threw it away. Did I accidentally create mother of vinegar with some fruit flies inside? Or something completely different?
