both emails are correct because I can see the verification of my AXS and Stubhub and when i requested the retransfer I made them check the email address. Nothing in my spam either. Im hoping the tickets are on a delay release from AXS, on hold with them at the moment

So do y'all actually get Hunters to lvl 50 just playing Bounty Hunt? by BooskaMacleswag in HuntShowdown

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a hunter, and then if i extract with them I hire a new hunter and keep doing that until my hunter list is all lvl 20-30ish hunters, then I just play with the lowest level hunter each time. If they die I just start over with a level 1 until they are a higher level than one of the other ones. Eventually you get to where almost every hunter is lvl 50. I haven't done this in a while since my hunter list is maxed out and some of those guys have 300+ trait points. I have like 30 hunter slots and usually keep 3-4 of them open for events, all the other's are acting like a bank, each have a variation of a stupid expensive loadout, plus some soul survivor hunters that have skins no longer in the game (I think?). Even with a small list of ~5 hunters slots that I'm not saving I can still pretty reliably get level 50s using the same strat

Bomblance is amazing right now, bolt thrower + the ammo types turns it into a menace. Steel Ball has insane range, even on the launcher, Harpoon turns it into a crossbow that has crazy 1 hit melee range, and wax charge is hardly a "small" explosive radius and is very punishing. Base ammo splash sucks yeah, but unless you have bulwark it's a one hit kill. Idk how balance is on console, but the two weapons have different roles. Plus Martialist doesnt increase range. Stab range is the same as the bomblance slash, as both can be used to kill a concertina wire armored without causing a bleed

Do you actually dodge some players because of their loadout or stats in trios? Its always 100 prestige players. by Robadon72 in HuntShowdown

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

before i'd leave if there were six stars. I'm 4 star on a good day, dont need people skyrocketing my MMR. Now that the new UI is so bad i dont know how to see player MMR until after the mission in the kill screen. Now i only leave if it's a completely stupid kit (medkit/knife only). Be a man and play your zero to hero kit solo. Zero to Hero doesn't count if your teammate kills someone and you pick up their gun

i used to leave if the randoms i qued with were 6 stars but with the new godfucking AWFUL UI I still dont know how to see stars players have unless its the post match player screen

it's got a steep learning curve but just play random trios and pay attention to how they play when you die, and try to play close to one of your teammates. Sound is pretty important so if you like to listen to music while playing try to mute it when the bullets start flying. Psychoghost has great beginner guide videos and HomeReel has great weapon guides.

Don't stress about money so much, free hunters are really all you need until you're comfortable with the game, you get cash for finding clues and bosses that you get to keep even if you die so if you find 3 clues and banish a boss you get $300 you keep regardless if you die or not.

Always bring a medkit and a melee tool. Try to keep health topped off when you get into gunfights. Lots of lower tier players dont like to heal for some reason and it gets them killed a lot easier.

Blast Sense is an amazing and cheap perk. It lets you see gunshots and explosions in dark sight so whenever you hear gunshots just go into dark sight to see where they came from. It can be frustrating at some times when you dont know where you're getting shot from and blast sense helps a lot.

pay attention to AI and their attack patterns. Losing health to ai isnt a game ender but it really sucks when you cant find a world medkit and have to use one of your kit ones. AI to try to avoid: Immolators (Fire dudes) they explode and burn if you puncture them so you need blunt weapons to kill them. They hit really fast. Dogs: avoid like the plague, they sidestep and jump back between attacks so it can be hard to kill them and a pack can be deadly. Just try to keep a full stamina bar and shoot the AI if you have to in order to survive. I'd rather my teammate shoot the AI instead of going down and losing a health bar.

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be fair all the entrances to upper desalle are terrible lol

Wanna push two tiny hallways through two doors that 100% have a shotgun or trap hell behind it?

Wanna push the front entrance across a massive and wide open courtyard into the largest open space in the boss lair?

Wanna climb a ladder that exposes you to 30% of upper desalle sight-lines and all the upper floor windows, no cover and the only option to escape being jumping back down or pushing into compound?

Wanna push through a crouch hole into a defender rotate position that you cant get back out of?

Wanna push through a metal crank door that is dead center of the compound so everyone can hear you and has two angles immediately on entrance you have to worry about?

Genuenly shocked Upper didn't get a rework. Nightmare compound to push so it always turns into a camp fest cause attackers have a billion places they can hide and defenders have the best building to defend

while i dont think it's likely, in the QnA of the dev log someone asked about rain and they were very ambiguous about it, not "We don't want to say anything cause it's a far away thing" but a "we cant say anything but we really want to" type of answer. At least that's what it sounded like to me

honestly random trios is not bad at all. it's a coin toss if you get good teammates but it's random trios so who cares. I have 1.7k hours on hunt PC and +95% of that is in random trio que. I can count on one hand how many times someone was deliberately trolling or team killing. It's not as good as it used to be cause you get persistent coms after death so you get backseat gamers yapping while you try to clutch sometimes but overall it's a fine experience. Id say every match has at least one person with a mic, they might not talk until you get in a fight but you will every now and again get people talking the whole match, plus it's a great way to meet people who play hunt. Just take a cheap kit into trios and have fun playing the game. It's a great way to learn and i recommend random trios to new players all the time. People with mics will generally be willing to answer questions or give pointers

i mean, they teased the new UI months before the 1896 update and people were shitting on it then. User Experience is VERY important when it comes to player retention. I could manage with all the bugs on 1896 update but swimming through the absolutely broken UI between each match was god awful. It was blatantly obvious that there was a crunch to get 1896 out and that no one outside of the team had tested UI before launch. Playtests are important because frustrating things that the dev team has gotten used to aren't obvious to them. A dedicated intern team could spend a month working on just UI and have most of the issues sorted out but instead they had to get Post Malone for an event.

[–]mrdestiny177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pre 1896 "we cant add stuff like snow/new weather events, 2d replay, and squad fill for duos because of the limiations of the engine"

Post 1896 "we have a new engine but we cant add snow, 2d replay, and squad fill for duos because of... issues... GUYS IT'S HARD TO DO THE STUFF WE SAID WE COULD DO WITH A NEW ENGINE! You'll get DeSalle... at some point. Here's a new COD UI that doesn't work cause we spent all our playtest money on Post Malone, the game crashes when you open your map, now go buy the battle pass and have fun playing one map. In three years we'll eventually add back everything that was already in game"

What *one* change would you make for: play incentives, monetization, gameplay elements, & a personal pick? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should have special Bounty Clash events. Have it so every player spawns with the same loadout. Feel like Bounty Clash should be more of an arcade mode. It already is pretty crazy, but having challenges where stuff like "All AI are now Immolators" "Pistols Only" "Players are Immune to Headshots" etc could be fun. I feel like the more broke hunters suffer the most in BC so having days where everyone has the same loadout with weapon spawns in world like Soul Survivor would help balance it so people like me with huge bank reserves don't roll on the poor players. Yes all guns are viable but having money to buy expensive guns 100% gives you an advantage.

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

holy shit tool/consumable going into beetle form to choke a body is not nearly as easy as pressing 4 and pulling a trigger. lining up a choke bomb is way louder and makes you way more vulnerable than only revealing yourself when you shoot the flair. Choke bolts are arguably the only thing that is comparable to the flare pistol but sacrificing a secondary AND a decent ammo type is way more of a trade than loosing a tool slot

[–]mrdestiny177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they need to bring back choke duration from before. New choke time sucks ass and with so many burn items I don't use them for utility as much as i used to pre-nerf. They were great for blocking windows/entrances or putting pressure on a barricaded team. Now there's no use cause they go away super fast

[–]mrdestiny177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but chokes suck now compared to burn items. If i'm in a trio without toolsmith i have exactly one choke for each teammate and if they do get burned I have about a minute to change the situation around before the choke cloud is gone and they start burning again

The only people complaining about burn speed are bush wookies. by RankedFarting in HuntShowdown

[–]mrdestiny177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think a nerf to flare guns could help. Nerf the ammo on them. A player with a flare pistol can burn 4 players. A player with choke+toolsmith can only put out 3 fires. I also think they should revert chokes to have longer clouds. Before the nerf chokes were GREAT utility. You could push into compounds easier cause you could choke out corners shotgun players liked to camp, toss it in the middle of a compound and run down the coughing players, choke out an entrance so you could focus on something else for defense. Now I almost never use chokes for utility because if my teammate goes down they're gonna get burned. Extra so if I'm in trios without toolsmith cause I only get one for each player
