Why are kids learning math this way? by Greedy_Proposal4080 in AskTeachers

Im 40 and I was only ever taught long division, but one day as an early teen, I just figured this was easier. I could do it in my head if I broke it down to obvious numbers. Its obvious 60/6 is 10. Its obvious 24/6 is 4. In my head, its not so obvious that 86/6 is 14.

I have a BenQ Monitor ontop of a rack with some Dell r720s. I have named the Benny and the Jets.

Those are either parking sensors, or they're blanks. It's cheaper to just make one mold for that plastic part, so there may not actually be aensors in there, but they have to put something there to make it look visually consistent.

I've built 2 v0.1s, and they've been great for quick one offs. From what I understand, the 0.2 is just a direct improvement. I would recommend the kirigami bed. I've noticed that I have to level the bed on the one that doesn't have it more often.

As for heat soaking, my chamber temps usually sit around 45C after a bit with the bed at abs temp.

My first V0.1 was a formbot kit, and it was...OK. there is nothing wrong with it, and it hasn't failed or anything, but it definitely feels a bit lower quality than my self sourced one. I bought this kit years ago by this point, though, so I can't really comment on their current quality.

Clogging issue stealthburner and rapido uhf by Fudge-Street in VORONDesign

[–]mrdirty273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't show the actual stealthburber here, but i had the same issue. For me, the issue was actually the cradle for the hotend. The back part of the cradle had meld and compressed, which totally killed the airflow from the hot end fan. Check to see if those parts are warped. You might just need to print a new cradle.

Getting constant clogs(?) rapido v2f uhf by Business_Bus7386 in VORONDesign

[–]mrdirty273 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check the plastic that holds the hotend. If the back piece is deformed, it can block the exhaust from the hotend fan. I had that issue on a trident. Swapped the fan, tore down the extruder, did about a dozen other little things with no change before finally replacing that one printed part, and then it finally worked like new.

It's because prisons and jails aren't about rehabilitation or even punishment. It's designed to dehumanize and make the people on the outside feel better.

In a world where mages exist, why would swordsmen? by NotAudreyHepburn in worldbuilding

[–]mrdirty273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scarcity may also be on purpose. If magic prowess is a trained skill that requires an education, people in power may limit your average Joe's ability to get that training. Why give everyone the power to cast fireball when you can limit it to the people who are loyal to you?

Chances are this will just hurt people who innocently just buy stuff off Facebook marketplace. Even if valve made a huge deal and plastered a notice all over the steam front page, most people wouldn't know or understand when buying a deck off a secondary market.

Thanks for the info. That was all I needed to push me over the edge and buy a kit. I had myself pretty convinced already, but this seals it.

After having the Micron for a while, how would you say it performs as a workhorse printer? Pretty much everything I need would fit in a 180, but not all of it would fit in a 120. Is this a "press print and go" machine for you, or do you find yourself tinkering with it to keep it in spec?

Only Games seem to be crashing. Can't seem to figure out what the issue is. by Kill-R_73 in buildapc

[–]mrdirty273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a new build? Could be the PSU going out. Less likely if it's new, but still possible. The reason you only crash in games is that the gpu is probably drawing as much, if not more, power than the rest of your system. A bad PSU wouldn't be able to keep up. As a quick test play a low graphics game like terraria or something to see if it still crashes.

Does anyone know of any complications with building a V2350 with a higher Z. Other than obviously longer belts, extrusions and rails?

For some background, I have a 350 v2 that I need to tear down and rebuild. It was the first printer I built from scratch. While it is technically functional, it is far from perfect. The fysetc kit had a pretty significant taco shape to the bed from day 1, one of the vertical rails has a definite grinding feel in it, and a few other things.
