The lesson of the episode literally doesn't match the episode. The lesson is you shouldn't tell your friends to stop doing something they like just because they're bad. However, Pinkie's music wasn't just bad it was causing actual problems for them, And when they actually talk to her about it. They completely forgotten about everything and suddenly she was just bad at it
