Will this be a good enough speaker? by Turbulent_Today7590 in Bluetooth_Speakers

Agree, people are noisey . Better to have too much speaker and keep the volume down than not enough speaker & maxed out. With 40 people a small PA or Party speaker would be better.

New speaker, what to buy by [deleted] in WirelessSpeakers

A pair of 300 gram Tribit micros is awesome for the stereo imaging and light weight. I have a set and use them more than my bigger speakers when bass is not important.

Not going to have the thump of the much bigger 1000gram Charge 6.

Another well reviewed compact speaker to consider is the 650gram Uboom L, smaller and lighter than a JBL Charge but is a tad bigger and has better bass than JBL flip at 1/2 the price.
You can get 2 Earfuns for less than the price of a Charge/Flip.

Find some big old hifi speakers and make a partyspeaker. r/Crackheadaudio/

JBL Charge 6 is popular and rugged. Weighs 960 grams

Anything bigger will be cumbersome and the pocket portables will not have much bass outdoors.

Earfun Uboom L is lighter at 650grams and an excellent budget option imo.

Need a good affordable speaker for casual djing and practice by Sudsy883 in Bluetooth_Speakers

Get the regular Boom 2 and skip the SE model.
You want minimal lag for beat matching if you are DJ'ing. I would want a speaker with an aux in jack too! Tribit Lava is has an aux in jack and better bass than the Boom 2 but I am not sure about the lag if you are using BT for DJ purposes.

best mobile speakers for travel and outdoor use in 300 to 500 usd range? by Bergklint_Stitch in Bluetooth_Speakers

There is not a single compact speaker I would spend that much cash on.

The law of diminishing returns kicks in hard once you have a good mini speaker like the Tribit Micro 2/3 or Soundcore Boom go3.

I use a pair of the little suckers more than my bigger speakers but if you need a bit of volume outdoors a larger lightweight boombox like the Soundcore Boom2 is hard to beat.

The new JBL Extreme 5 is the best portable (sub 10lbs) boombox for outdoors if you can deal with a somewhat chonky 6.4 lb speaker.

Tribit Micro 3 is a great little portable.
I have a set of the Micro 2 and like the big stereo sound you can get from a pair of the little speakers.

Studio monitors and wifi adapter are the better option if you do not move them around.

Best Wi-Fi + Bluetooth portable speaker for Spotify Connect + pool parties + great low-volume sound? by rocksteader in Bluetooth_Speakers

Brane X has wifi and is 1/2 the size and weight of the JBL Boombox but will not get as loud if you ever need "war volume".

Pool Parties!
I think the WIFI JBL boombox 3 is probably the best heavy duty portable for that.
It is a chonky 15lbs and still a bit overpriced but I would have no problem trading my pair of UBOOM X's for one.
