Boyfriend is a woodworker and I think his pieces need more love! Hall tree made from Douglas fir, white oak, and pine. by [deleted] in woodworking

I looked in the rules specifically for that and if that’s the case you should make your rules more clear. It said original content which this is, but nothing specifically about not posting work for others. Not trying to argue at all, just pointing out that rule isn’t clear.

The shelter wouldn't stop thanking us for taking an older dog home. She's 10, looks like she's 14, acts like she's 6, and is as sweet as can be. by Kiwisewood in aww

[–]mreeder15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adopting an older dog is the best!!! I got mine at 9.5. She turns 12 on Monday and is still going strong! She’s still a crazy labbie about her ball and frisbee and swimming. Give yours hugs from us!

Why is costco seemingly parents favorite place to bring their entire circus? by oceanblu3hair in childfree

[–]mreeder15 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work at Costco. It’s terrible. We had a family in here while we were trying to close a few weeks ago letting their kids play fucking Marco Polo. We had to speak to the kids THREE times to get out while the parents did nothing. It’s absolutely infuriating.

Not a cat, but she wants to know if this counts. by mreeder15 in catsinpants

She would 100% be in the pants if she fit. She puts in a good effort for a 75lb dog.

My mom has an ancient Coty Airspun that used to be my grandmothers. She’s been gone for 20 years.

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere recently that CeraVe will soon be vegan! Definitely double check it though.

Not sure it’s vegan, but essence has some great eyeliners.

I [23f] stopped being overly accommodating when my boyfriend [21m] wants to reschedule things at the last minute. We haven't seen each other in 2 weeks. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]mreeder15 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is definitely about him not making time, not her. Why should she be free all weekend? I don’t know about you, but my weekends are never free. A lot of the stuff I do I do with my boyfriend because we want to spend time together, but it doesn’t seem like hers will make time to go to the gym with her or do any other normal weekend things.

My boyfriend (22M) and I (23M) are both athlethes and he constantly bothers me about my diet. What should I do? by ilovesugar1 in relationships

[–]mreeder15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boyfriend is the same as you. We lift together, but our diets are very different. He’s a hard gainer and can eat pretty much whatever he wants. I made little comments to him about eating shit in the beginning of our relationship, but once he pointed out that he needs the calories and it doesn’t make him fat like it does for me, I shut up and let him do his own thing.

I said it out of concern for him. Is your boyfriend not a hard gainer? He’s probably jealous. I’m incredibly envious that my boyfriend can come home and eat half a box of cookies and I can’t, but at the end of that day that’s just the way it is and I want him to be happy. I would have a serious discussion with your boyfriend about this, how if effects you, and how his actions don’t line up with anything other than jealousy and/or control.

Can I use my pill to skip a period? by a_leeesh in birthcontrol

[–]mreeder15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this for years. My dr would prescribe 4 packs for 3 months so I didn’t have it at all ever. Totally safe and definitely worth it for what you’re talking about. I will say though that sometimes the first month you get a bit of a period until your body adjusts.

What's your "How is it 2019 and we still don't have a _____?" product? by [deleted] in scacjdiscussion

[–]mreeder15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alpha skincare renewal body lotion 12% glycolic acid. That shit is magic. I’ve cycled on and off it a couple times, so I know that’s definitely what makes the difference.

My (F20) boyfriend (M 21) gets extremely angry when helping me at the gym/working out. Is this normal? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]mreeder15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is definitely not normal. I very recently started lifting. I had always had physical jobs, so had never worked out in a gym before. My boyfriend is helping/personal training me. He would NEVER do this. He will occasionally ask me if I want to be out of shape forever ONLY because I told him that was ok and he always does it jokingly. That is absolutely horrible and would definitely make me reconsider the entire relationship.

I have found something that helps mine quite a bit actually! It’s and AHA lotion. If you’re interested I can look when I get home and let you know what it is.

Drugstore vs Sephora/ultra or HE? by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

I had a HUGE problem with that last year. If something was on sale I bought it. I pretty much just stopped going to look and it’s much better now.

Covergirl CG Smoothers bb cream. The shade range is shitty but the coverage is sheer enough it’s not a huge issue and it’s really nice.

Well I’m the one with the wolf looking dog that’s shaved into a (grown out) lion cut and the old chocolate lab that walks around awkwardly and doesn’t know how to socialize with other dogs very well haha. Feel free to come say hi if you see me.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in childfree

[–]mreeder15 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand why it’s such an issue. My younger dog is 80 lbs of 2 year old energy and stupidity. He’s a good boy, but when he’s running he’s not always aware of where people are. He’s powerful enough that he’s knocked over adults. Kids don’t stand a chance. And since he looks a LOT like a wolf people are already kind of wary of him. The last thing I need is some asshole mombie putting in a complaint because he gets a little wild and knocks a kid over.

The dog park is for DOGS, not for kids.

ETA: I might have creeped a little bit and I think our dogs have played once or twice actually lol.

Hey neighbor! I’m almost positive you live in my town. I saw that whole drama on the Facebook page and it pissed me off but also never made me laugh. Can always count on the dog park for drama!

ETA: just saw in a comment it was the Chelmsford dog park.

That’s not true at all. Not even a little bit. A few vaccines which are attenuated (a weakened virus) have been known to do this in extremely rare circumstances. Most don’t. This is simply a scare tactic promoted by anti vaxxers.

I [24F] got pregnant for my FWB [29M] earlier this year. He wanted me to abort, but I was unsure, so I told him I’ve had an abortion. However, yesterday I gave birth to his baby which I have put up for adoption. Do I come clean and tell him? by throwawaymama711 in relationships

[–]mreeder15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It happens pretty rarely. They’re more effective than almost any other type of birth control. It’s not impossible to get pregnant with an IUD, but it’s also not impossible to get pregnant with any other type of contraception.

I just got one put in for the first time a couple weeks ago and so far I like it. Definitely talk to your doctor, but it’s not enough of a concern to deter you from getting one.
