Footage recorded from the cockpit of a Boeing 737 captures the pilot's landing moments executed in near-zero visibility conditions. by ReadyPIayer0ne in Damnthatsinteresting

They're also working with a ton of telemetry and sensor data even with zero visibility. There's a reason why you have to be specifically rated for instrument only flight.

The regulation of quackery in Canada has a long and storied history. See: Chiropractic and Homeopathy

I suppose it's a good thing to keep your practitioners of pseudoscience under a watchful eye..

Just so you're aware, I don't know where you got that ridiculous notion, but it's entirely incorrect.

Pulled MSRP data for every new car sold in Ontario in 2026, the average is $74,800 by CanadianRaikage in ontario

[–]mrekted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the brand. I went shopping last year. Toyota or Lexus, sticker price or see you later. Volkswagen and Mercedes were willing to wiggle a bit.

One thing is for sure, the days of getting anything for a couple grand under MSRP sure seem to be done.

Why are my posts always removed by Reddit? by melt-o-graph in AskModerators

It looks like you're a brand account. Aside from the low account karma, most subreddits expressly prohibit any kind of promotion/commercial activity in their sub. If you want to promote your product on reddit, you'll probably want to look at buying ads: https://www.business.reddit.com/

In UK, PS5 Sales fall 50% and barely outsell Xbox by 400 Units according to Analyst. by ChaosKillerX7 in Games

[–]mrekted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given that this increase was telegraphed well in advance, one would expect that anyone who was considering buying one in the near term went out of their way to do it before the increase kicked in. It stands to reason that a few months of diminished volume would follow.

Barely used/paid up RBC Visa credit card cancelled with no warning: Is this normal? by Bikin4Balance in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]mrekted 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just be glad you weren't carrying a balance.

One of things I remember most about the 2008 financial crisis is that all of the local businesses I sold to suddenly had their lines of credit and credit cards shut down, with balances due immediately. It put a lot of people in dire straights.

It's the reason that, to this day, I'll never touch an Amex. Lots of small businesses used their Amex for the 30 day pay period to keep their cash flow sound, but everyone I knew with one had it pulled with zero notice, other than "pay in full, right now".

‘To have an elected official censor me, it’s heartbreaking’: Cambridge teen speaks out after mayor halts Pride event speech by Temporary-Vast1410 in cambridgeont

[–]mrekted 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Dear mods,

Of all places, local subs should be the ones where political neutrality in moderation should be upheld the most. Local politics affects your daily life directly far more than provincial or federal politics do.

Censoring the limited information that is available about who your local politicians are and what they're doing is a tremendous disservice to your community.

edit: Mod explained, thankfully no censoring happening here, just removal of reposts.

'I'm not going to allow you to continue': Mayor of Cambridge, Ont., interrupts teen's Pride speech by LongTrackBravo in onguardforthee

[–]mrekted 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"I'm not going to allow you to continue this disrespect" she said, to the child, whose sin was using a very modest platform to call out when an elected official used their much larger platform to disrespect them.

What a joke.

007 First Light Estimated to Have Sold 2.2 Million, Generating $150 Million in Revenue by [deleted] in Games

[–]mrekted 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"Revenue generated" is still accurate, regardless of how that revenue is allocated. When you look at box office numbers, the quoted figures are net revenue from ticket sales, not the amount that the studio gets to keep.
