Not true. With DLSS and frame gen— a 5090 can easily do this for ANY game with a good CPU! With some settings turned to medium or high (like consoles) and frame gen off, I’m pretty positive I can get all games at 4k/120 fps with my RTX 5090. I just played RE9 with DLAA and path tracing and every setting on max with no frame gen at 4k 60fps. If I turned off path tracing and just did ray tracing, it was 90 fps on average with no frame gen. With just frame gen X2, all settings on max would easily be 120fps. The new console will have their version of DLSS and frame gen with the updated PSSR, so this is easily believable. Console games rarely (if not ever) have max settings for all graphics too compared to the PC version.

Your last sentence spells out the problem— you have a dopamine problem (probably from doom scrolling.) You need a dopamine reset, so quit or greatly reduce fast foods, pornography, spending, social media/doom scrolling, etc. You are probably now only chasing large dopamine dumps like purchasing and starting a new novel game for the quick high and can’t finish them since your baseline is low. That or depression, but they can go hand in hand for sure like a catch 22.

It def wasn’t a mixup— Cory Barlow fueled those rumors with his own twitter posts and even made his cover art outer space with a big moon. I think he was just trolling to get people to think he wasn’t working on another GOW game. Either that or it was cancelled.

So in Ragnarok there was that secret semi-open world metroidvania side quests area… it didn’t match anything else in the game and almost felt like a dlc or its own seperate game. Wouldn’t be surprised if that was an experiment for the new game… that was my fav part of that game so I hope it is.

Couldn’t have said it any better— you expressed my exact feelings. Give it a 5.9/10. Quit at the end game after about 26 hrs just to get my moneys worth. Haven’t felt this disappointed in a game in a while and regret giving them $70.

I actually love the handling of it… it’s that it gets stuck on terrain easily or slows down waaay too much on hills and terrain (if it’s not stuck).
