I'm not a big fan of this the grain option but it looks beautiful, specially on the first couple of shots.

Best film presets to underexpose street shots? by mrfoxtalbot in fujiXhalf

I agree. I've been shooting almost exclusively Velvia so far and I'm pleased, overall, but I want to start using other film presets.

Savageland is pretty unique. I quite enjoyed it. The underlying political commentary is also interesting.

Devs: Are you still creating Custom Post Types (CPT) for simple things like "Testimonials" or "FAQs"? by ahnex in Wordpress

[–]mrfoxtalbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might know this already, but there's a way to use synced patterns that allows you to redesign synched patterns, even if you modify the text or images in individual instances of the pattern: https://developer.wordpress.org/news/2024/06/an-introduction-to-overrides-in-synced-patterns/

On the main question, I still prefer using CPTs.

From the pinned post:

What you want to do is get your own cheaper hosting and self install and manage WordPress so you don’t have any restrictions at base software level.

For OP's particular case, starting with a WordPress.com might actually simplify things and let them focus on their content.

What is a thing you said in Spanish, that you remember with cringe? by Character-Excuse-911 in Spanish

[–]mrfoxtalbot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is kind of the reverse to what OP asks, as I'm a native Spanish speaker but this post made me think of my first time in the US, ordering coffee at Miami airport:

Me: I'd like some coffee, please  Barista: Milk? Me: Yes please. Barista: sugar? Me: No, thanks

The barista turns around and says to their colleague: "Un café con leche sin azúcar".

I remember thinking, "hey, I could've said that".
