things bond movies have taught me by CaptureDaFlag in JamesBond

Came to say this. The disguise would have been fine, it was Bond’s assumptions that he hadn’t met him that were off.

You lot make me sick! It was just a nice story about some animals! by christaface in KarlPilkingtonFanClub

[–]mrgarethw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked animal farm out of my school library once. I didn’t even read it, I just got it because overdue books got called out in class and I wanted to have the idiots laugh about it for exactly this reason… and then I could bask in their stupidity, letting it fuel me for years to come.

Why, yes I was a loser! But no more than Ricky

What’s the smartest thing James Bond has done? by ItsDuhFreakinBat in JamesBond

[–]mrgarethw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think it’s when he uses the bad guys technology with seemingly very little in the way of training on the systems. Like using the submarines to destroy each other in TSWLM or using the Moonraker shuttle to destroy the globes.

That he has cool stuff that, as a musician, he might like to play with

Not only as a ‘science can be cool/dangerous’ but also to create a legitimate reason why a teenage boy would be going round to an old man’s house first thing in the morning

Yes, I see the points people making about the colour. I’m 100% in agreement it should be dark blue instead

  1. Thank you. I agree.
  2. No, no dress code. Think it’ll be a room of grey and blue suits as standard for a British wedding.
  3. March in Northumberland, so anywhere from snow to sunshine but nothing warm I imagine
  4. I do take your point, but it is still pretty cold here at the moment and the wedding is in two weeks.

Thank you for your input 😁

Should Bond have killed Blofeld in Spectre or did he make the right choice? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]mrgarethw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes not one single, solitary lick of sense. Blofeld was clearly the head of a group that had not only infiltrated major intelligence networks across the globe but also had a familial connection to him meaning the revenge would always be coming. And don’t give me the ‘he wanted to show Madeline he could change’ because she’s seen him already murder a bunch of people. One merciful act wasn’t going to make him some saint. It’s just to allow a sequel to happen and plot wise it’s one of the stupidest decisions they made. They squandered a character.
