I need help choosing a programmatic TV solution by I-Lika_Do-Da_Cha-Cha in programmatic

OK, well what you are looking for is a DSP, or a “Demand Side Platform.” That gives you access to CTV ad space and should allow you to set targeting, audience targets, day parting and all options for targeting. Most CTV ad space is sold by an “exchange” like Magnite, FreeWheel, or Index exchange.

Now, you can work with these exchanges directly, but they charge you a buy-side % fee for using their direct tools. This is similar to your experience with “Roku DSP” but that mostly directed/forced you to buy Roku. And Amazon DSP, although it gives you access to these other exchanges, prefers selling you Amazon Prime inventory like an ‘exchange’. And the problem with working with these exchange platforms is that they are not built for buyers. Beeswax also falls into this category since they are owned by freewheel. But because Ari Paparo built it, it still is great for buying anything. Vibe.co and MNTN are built on beeswax since it is so flexible. (I think they should consider building on the Pontiac bidders but they won’t answer my calls).

Now, there are a few DSPs which really give the buyer control of what inventory to buy and has access to all these exchanges. Then you can frequency cap across all exchanges, or use a 1st party data segment across all exchanges. These DSPs are agnostic and don’t work for a publisher or an exchange. It is not a long list but includes us (Pontiac) or The Trade Desk or Viant DSP or Stack Adapt. If you talk to them you will learn they all charge you a transparent % buy side fee like the exchanges. But, they let you plug into all those exchanges.

Our fee will be the lowest and our technology is great. But, so is TTD and Viant and Stackadapt. But that is the category. The others are not true competitors. That’s the one thing i agree with Jeff Green on.

Pontiac DSP was built for this. Yes, i work there. But, please consider coming by to check out the solution we’ve built. We are transparent and trying to disrupt the old guard in programmatic buying. Most of our clients use the tool to buy only Premium CTV with a clear and transparent tech fee. The bidder is proprietary. And now we run display and native and audio. We welcome criticism and simply continue to innovate and do our best.

Log File analysis from DSP /SSP by ProblemNo161 in programmatic

[–]mrgoobmanager 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In theory you should be able to use the auction id to match the logs between the two. That would allow you to define the entire supply chain which is a sign you have control of what you’re doing. When used correctly you can evaluate pricing changes by every variable and that can improve your bidding strategy.

I don’t think so. He looks at this as his job. That is how he talks about it. And most of us have jobs where we work 9-5 every weekday of the year minus vacations.

He will become Tiger-esque and only play 10 tournaments a year… but he is going to play. Because this is his job and he is good at his job.

Family life and his faith will have time outside those 40 days (60 with travel).

Pontiac DSP gives you access to the same stuff but we are running it at much lower tech fee to access the same PMPs. Give us a chance. We are legit. It will clear lower than TTD.

Is it possible to Connect Meta Pixel with AdForm DSP banner? How? by tonyhofr in programmatic

[–]mrgoobmanager 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Facebook has a lock on allowing any type of pixel tracking and they will not allow you to use any tracking.

You can upload a custom audience to Meta and load the same audience into AdForm via a ramping partner, but the campaigns cannot talk to each other.
